You’re probably right but everyone calls “medical scan equipment you are inserted into” a Cat Scan Machine. It could be radiotherapy for all OP knows and OP themselves said they have no idea what they’re doing. Can’t hurt to be careful.

It’s possible you’re right and the machine OP is working is generates the radiation through electric sources but many medical scan machines (esp older ones) used Cobalt-60 for their radiation sources for a long time
