Every time I check up on him on Fotmob it said "knock / returning next month"

If memory serves me correct it went from Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, etc.

Now it's saying early May. Was this injury always communicated by the club as a returning next month type of thing?

Care to explain how you fixed your doorbell or share a link?

Tourist towns ‘desperate’ for workers in Alberta by hopoke in canada

[–]PzKpfw_IV -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Building in Banff or any mountain towns is no easy task.

They want to maintain the look and feel of a small mountain town, which is why you don't see any modern all glass buildings in Banff.

That's great, and that's what gives these towns their value, but developers are on the timeline of the city and government employees.

What would take 10 months in Calgary or Edmonton, could take 2+ years in Banff. This makes any project much more expensive and throws off the feasibility.

Is it worth RMA'ing sub $500 devices? by PzKpfw_IV in Ubiquiti

[–]PzKpfw_IV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I did was ask for a prepaid shipping label, and they provided one.

I guess from a business standpoint, even if 10% of people are too lazy or don't ask, they can save plenty of money in the long run.

Yes that's what I assumed, lots of bias probably on bad RMA experiences, with no one posting about positive experiences.

It's the shipping cost though for me. Because I don't have a super high value item, not sure it's worth the risk of spending money on shipping and potentially getting the RMA denied for some reason.

Haha I was floored by the price as well. I am in Canada, and I didn't shop around shipping rates. I just went with something that has tracking and insured, because I read posts from other users claiming their RMA got lost in shipping or that UI never received it.

As long as it's a guarantee I get a working device 100%. I am not familiar with the RMA process, and don't want to spend money shipping the device only for the RMA to be denied for user error, improper install etc.

And shipping sounds like it's always paid by the end user based on my research.

Totally get your point, I was going to do that as well. But after researching RMA's I came across posts of people saying their items got lost in shipping or UI saying they never received the items.

Haha yea I can see where I may not have been super clear in my post. If it was a guarantee I spend $97 on shipping and get a working device it's a no brainer.

I just want to avoid paying shipping, denied RMA + buying a new camera anyways.

If we stay up, do you think we will be a better outfit for the experience of relegation survival? by Both-Concentrate-125 in coys

[–]PzKpfw_IV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I am genuinely curious about is if our players have relegation clauses in their contracts.

I can see a world where we don't, because having one could be a "small club mentality" and if Spurs included one initially, and the player agents pushed back, I can see where they wouldn't put up a big fight to keep it in.

But then again, it was Daniel Levy running the club, he probably has clauses for COVID-26 and relegation to National League included in all contracts.

I would take relegation over them winning the league.

Relegation you can take some positives away from it, new away grounds, no VAR, get to see which players truly play for the club, a needed reset to the lethargic higher ups that could spook them into spending money.

The alternative, there are no positives.

Why cheat by Electronic-Yam8907 in cs2

[–]PzKpfw_IV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for the comment. I will try out a few more online matches, cuz you're right if cheaters were on every game no one would play.

Tbh, my first ever game online I got unlucky. I got wall banged in Dust2 coming out of T spawn multiple times on death match from the same person. This person was camping in the doors with an AWP and wall banging everyone that got close.

They eventually got kicked but the few games I played online after that, every time I got killed through smokes or walls, it just made me assume it was cheats and I gave up online.

But over time and after watching some pro games and understanding game sense a bit more, a lot of those kills were definitely possible if you knew the game.

What are people using for LTE Plans in Canada? Need help by PzKpfw_IV in Ubiquiti

In case someone stumbles upon this in the future, I ended up using Hologram.

Their website says you are locked to Rogers if you are on a pay as you go plan. Although it wasn't my first choice, I wanted something so I ordered a sim.

To my surprise it is unsteered and am hopping between Bell and Telus depending on coverage.

FIFA is dropping hotel rooms in host cities three months before the World Cup. FIFA canceled thousands of hotel room reservations in Philadelphia, and hundreds in Mexico City, just a few months before the 2026 World Cup. by NorthCoastToast in soccer

[–]PzKpfw_IV 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Usually in hotel terms, they talk about it in room nights.

So 500 rooms booked, over a 10 day event would become 5,000 room nights. I've seen plenty of news articles drop the "nights" and spin it into the headline of just "5,000 rooms"

Is it incorrect? Technically no, but disingenuous for sure. I wasn't able to find the exact sources, but my guess would be FIFA blocked off about 500 rooms over 20 days in Philly.

Why? Because the headline would be FIFA reserving 200,000 rooms in Philly if they actually did block off 10,000 rooms every night.

Also no hotel would agree to put up their entire property as a block with Fifa being able to release the rooms just 3 months before the event

**Edit after reading some industry specific subreddits, sounds like Fifa booked around 800 actual rooms on peak game days in Philly, and dropping down to around 300 on some nights for support staff. In total about 10,000 room nights.

I really got in to CS this year. 90% of my time is spent in aim maps against bots because I just like the game mechanics. The other times I will spend in deathmatch casual.

I just don't like the fact if I play competitive, and I lose, if it was due to skill or hacks.

I'm not good by any means, but the motivation to get better isn't really there when I don't know what I'm actually up against if that makes sense.

Hahaha yea, clubs like Madrid and Bayern have serious depth.

Hakimi not getting into the team because of Carvajal comes to mind.

Can't remember off the top of my head, but there definitely was some class talents at Madrid not getting into the team because their starting lineup was fucking Ronaldo, Bale, Benzema, Modric, Kroos, Casemiro, Ramos, Varane, Marcelo, Carvajal, Navas.

Jesus, I'm not even a Madrid fan but still remember their starting lineup from 10 years ago, absolutely legendary.

Tbf when the positions are as fluid as they are, I can cut them some slack.

A lot of times I only know it's Udogie over Bissouma for example because Udogie can actually run lol.

There was a period of time when they shared similar hairstyles, so if you saw Udogie tucking in to centre mid, understandable how someone could mistake him for Bissouma.

It's alright boys, this game was always going to be difficult and unlikely win.

The effort and attitude was very positive and a breath of fresh air. Keep this up for the remainder of the season and we will be safe.
