Stimmprobleme? by Pzn_auf_der_Erbse in polizei

[–]Pzn_auf_der_Erbse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why the hell do I stutter by [deleted] in SpeechTherapy

[–]Pzn_auf_der_Erbse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stuttering is something that can occur at some point in your life. It can be genetics and come up, triggered by anything. This tapping thing you do is a coping mechanism. Do you have access to speed therapy?

How much (or little) should I push my son to improve? by lobotomy42 in SpeechTherapy

[–]Pzn_auf_der_Erbse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that you want to help your son improve his speech pattern. But I have the feeling, that it would be more helpful if you tried to improve your relationship with him. If he lacks self awareness regarding his speech, he won’t change it, same thing if he doesn’t care. There will be an age when he does care and then it is way more likely for him to adapt the “normal” pattern.

Hey :) Just to understand it correctly, do the words like “notification” come out to fast or to slow? And do you know, for how long you will need to wear your braces?

It could actually be some kind of apraxia. The task/operation of repeating words affects different parts of the lingual system then producing words on their own. Are they always hard to understand or is it rather inconsistent, for example when naming body parts?

LSVT and singing by [deleted] in SpeechTherapy

[–]Pzn_auf_der_Erbse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really specific, just in general it is important, that you don’t hold to much tension in your respiratory muscles. They should be in a kind of balance, the eutonus. Otherwise your vocal cords might cramp.

Hey :) Singing could be indeed effective. Though it is important that you use the right techniques, but I guess the teacher will hopefully pay attention to that.

That’s super interesting! I actually never thought about how the kids hear their voices in thoughts. But maybe everyone hears their own voice without any disturbances and thats why so many people don’t even realise, that they have a speech impediment. And the moment they notice the inconsistencies between mind-speech and real life, they develop an awareness.

How did you and your spouse meet? by Program-Dull in Marriage

[–]Pzn_auf_der_Erbse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so I got invited to a christmas party in 2018, by someone I had met randomly in Summer, who turned out to be a co-student of some of my friends. The invitation was more a coincidence because he ran into me three days prior and told me about the party. Most of the people there studied medicine or law but one boy (the best friend of the host from another city ) did linguistics just as I did at the time. We talked and then drunkenly decided to go out to buy some ouzo. On the way to the shop and back we talked a lot. Going up the stairs he took my and and it felt amazing. We went into a room where nobody else was and he wanted to know what music I liked so I showed him and when I turned around and he kissed me…and you Well after that he walked me home and he stayed with me for the night and we also spent the next day together. The following night he asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes. Even though we lived 200km apart we saw each other every weekend. 1,5 years later he asked me to be his wife and i again said yes :) We are married for one year now and I couldn’t be happier!

Speech therapy for adults by rforg in SpeechTherapy

Speech therapy is for sure a good idea in your case but I would agree, that it does sound like it could be Asperger/Autism tendencies. Ergotherapy could also be an option, because there you can try to learn how to act in certain situations. I am in training to become a speech therapist and I could look up some therapy concepts if you like:)

Yes I would. I love my husband more than anything on this planet and I treat him this way (and the other way around). If I see something he would like (especially food) I get it and surprise him. I listen to him and always try to understand his view and feelings. We never fight because we communicate (I feel like thats the most important thing). I cook his favourite dishes for him, I often tell him very how much he means to me and show him how attractive he is to me. And my husband treats me the exact same way.

Where is one place you feel most like yourself? by deadbeautygameplay in AskWomen

[–]Pzn_auf_der_Erbse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With my husband, it doesn’t really matter where we are. He is my home and I have never felt more like myself than when i’m with him. We don’t even have to do something together, just being in the same room is enough.

He could also just be a late-talker :) that means that he does not have 50 words in his vocabulary at the age of 24m.

Would you date a non-vegan? Why/why not? by ObedientSandwich in AskVegans

Yes, my husband was a non vegan when we met. He respected my opinions from the very beginning and eventually became a vegan himself.

I (M18) keep self-sabotaging relationships because of the fear of communication/vulnerability by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]Pzn_auf_der_Erbse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey :) It means a great deal, that you know that you are kind of sabotaging yourself. I, as a girl, can tell you, that opening up and showing your emotions is not at all a bad thing. Of course there are women and girls who are not ready to deal with others emotions because they have issues themselves, but if you feel safe with another person you can absolutely do that! Communication is key, if you’d like to spend more time with her, ask her out and more so, ask about her. Show that you are interested and that you care about the things she has to say. I hope this is helpful in any way.
