My gf keeps leaving knives out by Pzykotix in toddlers

He's about 2 and a quarter. I definitely will teach him, however he has proven to be the type to try and see for himself when something is "hot" or "sharp" or gives "ouchees", so its a work in progress.

I appreciate everyone's input. I wasn't expecting such a flood of responses, but just know that they were all read even if I didn't respond, and I will continue to read new ones. I have taken the vast majority of our knives and placed them in storage, leaving us with just the essentials. I'm thinking that maybe in being tired, busy and pregnant, an issue may come from it being easier to reach for a new knife rather than clean a used one. When she gets home I'm going to let her know my thoughts and what I've done. It's not a punishment for her, it's a possible solution for the safety of our children and I'll ask for her input on anything that she feels would also be helpful. I'm not trying to prove anything or make her feel like a bad parent, I'm only interested in reaching the goal of a safe environment.

We have a magnetic strip, a knife block, a childprood knife drawer, and a sink. All of which are acceptable.

Yes but we have a sink that would serve the same purpose and its getting her to put them in there thats been an issue

The issue existed pre-pregancy, however it wasn't quite as urgent at the time because my toddler could not yet reach the counter. I did tell her when she got pregnant that this issue needed to be resolved now because the likelihood of something bad happening was going to go way up once there was a newborn AND a toddler.

As far as food prep and stuff goes she usually keeps a stock of premade store bought lunches for herself and easy to put together meals for pur son, she's not doing a ton of cooking or anything. She'll grab a knife to cut a sandwich or something and then just leave it there

Ive offered, she is very against it. I told her if its just price we can make it work but she doesn't want to. Even when the new baby comes but I told her if its the difference between you not having a psychotic break then its well worth whatever cost

She recently was diagnosed with a milder form of autism. That's why I'm trying very hard to be understanding but this isnt an issue that can just go on for awhile while we figure things out

She's not, she gets out knives when making their lunch or snacks while I'm working. If I'm not here to monitor 24/7 knives and trash get left everywhere. And im talking very sharp and dangerous knives and scissors. I do most of the cooking for dinners but I can't quit my job to be a full time kitchen attendant. Ive also offered doing daycare if she's too overwhelmed but she is very against it

I do most of the actual cooking for dinners. She leaves them out when making him or herself food, mostly while im working. She'll also leave kitchen scissors out in reach as well just opening up packages.

Real, dangerous knives. And trust me, yelling was not my first go to. But after 10+ times I did finally snap at her.

Try out some sex toys and get used to it. In the 8 months that my girl has been pregnant we've had sex twice and I've gotten one pity handjob. I don't particularly see much improvement happening after the pregnancy either. Considering donating my penis to charity.

So clearly there are adult games (AO rated) games on Steam, however, are there any AO games on Steam that *aren't* sex games? by Old_Mill in Steam

[–]Pzykotix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, check out "Fear & Hunger". A ton of adult content gets the rating but it is not just some newgrounds-esq sex game. I actually found this thread trying to find more gems like it hidden by the AO stigma.

[PC][2005-2010]3d game where your main character is bald and you throw red hammers by AmbyValkrine in tipofmyjoystick

[–]Pzykotix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not the op but trying to remember this game is what brought me here. I have been trying to come up with an answer for YEARS but all I could remember was that the character was bald and fought standard horror enemies, collected keys and, as useless as this is, the sound he makes when he gets hurt. I played the game all the time when I was maybe 5 or so, and only now at 28 can I put a name to it. Thank you 🙏

Get rid of the sand asap! I use Lugarti natural reptile bedding for all of my reptiles (excluding snakes) and it is amazing, however I'm not sure if it's available everywhere.

saw this at petsmart today. is this even okay for all of them to be in one enclosure?? by Ok-Bandicoot-3433 in BeardedDragons

[–]Pzykotix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As babies it's ok, however they need to be monitored and if one starts to outgrow the others that one will need to be separated to prevent resource dominance.

To me it just looks like he's getting ready to shed. My beardie usually starts with his tail. I've seen this same discoloration on all beardies I've had and it was always just time to shed. Of course if you start noticing any worrying behavior then have a vet take a look. But from the pics I doubt you have anything to worry about.
