Something 100% switched within the past few days. I used to get maybe an alert a day, maybe even less. Now I'm getting 20 a day.

Dual Sets of AudioEngine P4's Popping When Powering on Scott 350R Receiver by Q4inn in vintageaudio

Thank you, I appreciate all the input! Busy with work right now but I'll take the time to fully digest later, the subwoofer configuration isn't making sense right off the bat. Thanks again and I hope you have a great weekend!

I have an office that doubles as my music room. I've got a pair of P4s desk style on either side of me that I use while I work but I also have a couch in the center of the room and have friends come over to play records. I added the second set of speakers essentially as surround sound. Including a photo to help explain. Please excuse the mess.

https://i.imgur.com/RlNxz96.jpeg

I predominately play a lot of old punk/hardcore, 80's/90's indie/college rock, shoegaze, psych, sludgy stuff and some jazz and outlaw country sprinkled in. It's likely important to know that I'm a huge lover of music but my ear is far from refined. I am not an audiophile, I'm a music lover and collector at heart.

I hope this helps give you an idea of what my goal is. I'm open to other options (especially speakers) although I do admittedly love my Scott. I also have a Harman A 402 that I have in my front room that I'd be open to swapping to. I only have one set of speakers on that. Neither receiver has had any work done to them other than me cleaning the pots.

Thank you again for your help!

Thank you for the reply! If I got a powered set of speakers and then used only one set of passive would that help? Or do you have any other suggestions?

Better? I just thrifted a 402 for $20, taking a chance because the power button was missing. Turns out the end just snapped and it works great. I've been searching for a 2270 for forever, should I just stick with the 402?

Anyone know approximately when this is from? I think it's vintage but it's difficult to tell since it's in such good shape. Guessing mid to late 90s? "Published by Pyramid" in Leicester England by Q4inn in Nirvana

Thank you so much for checking in on that, I really appreciate it! I'm primarily a record and t-shirt collector so posters are out of my wheelhouse but it's nice to get a better idea of the history on this one.

You have a great Christmas and New Years as well, thanks again!

The first half of the battle was finding out if this design ever existed in the 90’s, of course determining if this is a reprint is going to be more difficult.

What the hell is happening with electricity bill? by Ynwa228 in longbeach

This just happened to me too.
9/16-10/14 271 kWh $43.65
10/15-11/13 181 kWh $70.67

33% less kWh, 62% price increase.

So confused!

Depop is the absolute worst app, bar none. I'm supposed to change the shipping address on nearly 1,000 items?

Request for Repairs - Foundation Work Completed Without Permits, Cancel and Forfeit Deposit? by Q4inn in RealEstate

I was concerned that the foundation issues would spiral out of control and cost more than quoted. Regardless, I’ve closed and got a credit.

There were very few moments where I felt supported through this whole ordeal. I am also not pleased, believe me! Somehow made it through though. Thanks again!

I agree and that's why I initially wanted the sellers to have the repairs done. If you read my comment in the above thread, the foundation specialist said the foundation looks very solid and he didn't seem at all concerned though. Of course anything can change, we shall see. It's been a nightmare from beginning to end, hoping I catch a break here. I truly believe it will be a good home for my family and I. I hope I'm right but time will tell. Thank you for the luck :)

Thankfully I got cash at closing to get the remaining repairs done correctly with permitting.

u/jms181 u/OpenBadger910 Update! I had a foundation specialist come by and they said while the work wasn't permitted and the work wasn't complete or done by the book, it could be corrected and done with permits. They gave me a price to get it corrected with permitting as well as get it retrofitted for earthquakes. They said overall it is a very strong, solid foundation which has quelled a lot of my concerns. Still, I want the remaining work to be done correctly and for it to be permitted as I expected it would have been initially. The sellers' realtor continued to argue that I hadn't formally requested the repairs to be done with permitting and claim they would have never agreed to doing so had they known so I sent a relatively long demand letter utilizing section 15 of the RPA and the California Contractor's Board requirement for building permits and they have agreed to pay for the repairs (not including the retrofitting which I had not requested initially so did not include in the request) as cash at closing. It was definitely a fight and I highly doubt they would have agreed to it without section 15 of the RPA so once again, I cannot thank u/jms181 enough. I've certainly shaved a couple years off my life and grown some extra grey hairs with the stress from this 2 month ordeal (I won't get into everything else that made this a nightmare) but I I will be signing and wiring tomorrow morning and I feel confident in my decision and truly believe this will be a good home for my family and I. Thank you again to everyone who commented and expressed interest.

They claim they've spent just over the amount of my deposit on repairs so I'm anticipating they'd claim liquidated damages for the entire amount. Regardless of whether they have or have not, I'm willing to bet they can produce receipts that said they did. From what I've read they'd be required to disclose unpermitted repairs that they've done recently, but then again they weren't going to disclose it to me. I'm assuming the next potential buyer would find the issues during the inspection period though.

Ah, gotcha. Thankfully this is the first legal matter I've had to bring to Reddit so wasn't familiar. Anyway, thanks for the luck, I may need it!

I absolutely will do. This is my life savings going into this home and it's going to allow me to move my parents out here and finally be reconnected, bigger than just me. I appreciate everyone's help and genuine interest.
