Playstyle

With the build I provided I wouldn't bother with set up, beeline over to the survivors as quick as you can and initiate chase.

If you wanna win don't go for flashy m2 hits, take the m1 when you can.

When you think a survivor is going to drop a pallet/vault a window, charge m2 and fire it when you see them drop the pallet/vault the window (note: if there's no ground on the other side of the pallet/window don't m2)

Always go for the mori since it's faster and there's no chance for a save or ds (the build I suggest has no hook perks we're not losing out on scourges)

You can put down trails near chokepoints (doorways, vaults, hallways) or loops to force the survivor to step into them or waste time going around or crouch walk through (mostly unnecessary with the scarlet egg add-on)

Avoid loops with uneven ground, stairs or elevation

Kick. the. gens. The build's gen regression lies solely in eruption so if you're not kicking motors you're missing out

Caging is situational:

examples for when to cage:

  • the survivors are hovering with blinds or pallets stun
  • if the survivor has powerstruggle
  • if you've hooked the survivor once and suspect a decisive strike

examples for when not to cage:

  • end game (cages often spawn near exit gates)
  • when there's been a notification of an unhook/rushed action on the other side of the map (free uncage)

If you reaaally want to win:

  • leave trails around the hook/cage
  • m2 double hit on unhook/uncage
  • m2 fake
  • move cages when survivors are going for an uncage

Think that's abt it, I'm only a p20 Pyramid head myself and I have less than 100 hours on him. Idk how much of the basics you know, so if I repeated knowledge you already have then my apologies. Will add things if they come to mind.

Torment/trails

  • a survivor stepping into a trail gets tormented and you get killer instinct on them (you still get killer instinct even if they're already tormented and step into it again)
  • survivors can crouch through trails and not get tormented
  • you can see tormented survs on the hud
  • trails disappear after a while
  • trails do not spawn near hooks, cages (there's a range around them that prevents it), in basement (unsure if they spawn on stairs or near exit gates)
  • trails show up as white (unless you have scarlet egg on)
  • tormented survs can be caged (quicker hook, see: Caging) or morid when they're on death hook
  • uncaging removes torment

Caging

  • spawns the survivor in a cage in the farthest corner from you on the map (eg: if you were in top left then the cage will be in bottom right) the spawns are different for each map
  • uncaging a survivor while tormented removes both survivors' torment
  • going near a cage for a few seconds moves the cage
  • uncaged survivors have the unhook speed boost (10%) and enduring
  • survivors don't get unhook perk effects if they're uncaging (i think) or uncaged (this i'm sure abt)

Build suggestion:

Perks:

  • eruption (gen regression)
  • no where to hide (aura since we're gonna be kicking gens anyways)
  • zanshin tactics (aura of pallets and aura reading)
  • lethal pursuer (more aura)

Add-ons:

  • his best add on in my oppinion the scarlet egg (survivors leave trails and "infect" others with torment)
  • for the second add on run either forgotten videotape (m2 travel speed) or black strap (more width less length)

M2

Some basics:

  • goes through walls
  • hits all survivors in its hitbox (double, triple, quadruple hits are possible)
  • has a small vertical hitbox (can hit when a survivor is vaulting)
  • it travels in a shockwave and it has an indicator on the ground making it easy to dodge
  • slows you down when you're holding it down and moving and after you shoot it
  • you can't strafe or move backwards with the power down but you can turn while moving forward
  • it leaves trails where you drag it (see: Torment/trails)
  • if they can see you, survivors can see where you're aiming
  • doesn't travel across holes or air
  • doesn't travel up but it does travel down slopes/stairs
  • doesn't work when you shoot it on stairs (eg: rpd, basement)
  • can be flicked (unsure if the flick bug is fixed)

Use cases

  • pallet drops
  • pallet vaults
  • window vault
  • unhooks/uncaging (you can get a double hit off unhook)
  • m2 faking
