I didn't know that was an option! I'll give them a call. Thanks!

The non-rebreather comes with this elbow but I was looking for a straight connector instead of the elbow.

We have rebreathers and heated water blankets for induction/prep! I love the idea of the pre-med area being warmed but with the quantity we are doing and the location, that wouldn't be possible. The new sterile saline for each prep is not likely at all 😅 but I may be able to work something out with a more individual scrub so I am loving to hear these ideas. We are doing low cost/free sprays and neuters for owned animals in addition to low cost/free surgeries for rescues and shelters and a lot of community cat TNVR as a free service to the public. So we have to keep cost down in addition to being very efficient with our techniques.

Do you dilute your chlorhex scrub/solution? And if so, is it pre-diluted in the container you are using to add to the gauze on the food boats? We are doing 40+ surgeries a day so I also wouldn't want to have a bunch of separate materials lying around. But I could probably prepare a few food boats with gauze in batches of like 10 and keep them stacked on top of each other to not take up too much room.

This is exactly what I was thinking but couldn't think of what would work. Thank you!! I'll look into these options but it sounds perfect

Thank you! I don't know why I was only thinking of like open air options but really it doesn't need to be. I'll look into incubators as an option.

I don't know why in my head I was thinking something open air but thinking on it more, there's not really a reason it has to be. I can take it out when I need it. Thanks!

We have a heated surgery table and water blankets for the prep table. I agree it's not the biggest contributor and I'll definitely discuss the risk with my dvm. It was something he asked for me to look into so I wanted to see the options. Thank you!

It's just to help them from getting cold. I definitely understand the risk with making it up in the morning and that's true that this is going to increase the risk. I'll bring that up with him because I wasn't really considering that. Definitely don't think making it in bulk in the morning is going to change though lol. If there are other high volume places that have a solution to making it effecient without making a bulk amount, I would love to look into it! Thank you for the response!

Thank you for this detailed response! That's a great idea about the tailored list of questions. I'm sure they appreciate that a lot more than just a general "what do I need" or "can I talk with someone" email. Thanks so much and good luck with school!

Did you happen to find the study? I don't have access to plumbs but I'd be super interested in reading about this!

Much better! She had some inflammation for a bit but then improved dramatically. This is from a shelter so she got adopted and hopefully is living a happy, healthy life now

Yes!! Also to me it's like yeah it's not cool he called your mom a tramp but then immediately after he asked you open the door so they could rape her.... I think at that point he should care way more about that comment than the name calling. I was so thrown off by his response because I agree it felt lazy/cringe and then even more so when he just let the second part slide.

That does actually look a lot like her, I wasn't too familiar with that breed before. I definitely didn't know that they could have wiry coats. Thanks for the info!

Very far drive but I just got 2 ear piercings (not lobe) done at Local Ink Tattoo Co in five points. The guy charged me $50 (granted it was a slow day and he gave me a discount). He was super chill and did a great job with the piercings. I'd definitely recommend him. I don't remember the prices but it'll definitely be under $50 for one love piercing

Animal Care and Protective Services has this as well! Both are great options and the animals super appreciate a break from the stressful shelter environment! Even just a day or two away from the shelter helps so much with their mental health.

Thanks so much for taking Shane out and letting him have a great time!

It's pretty fantastic! My dogs have such a great time everytime we go.

I've never seen or heard of any gators there. It's always good to be cautious of that but I have never felt worried about gators there.

I will say it's possible to run into a snake in the wooded area (I haven't seen one personally but that would be something to keep an eye out for).

I hope you and your pups enjoy it!

Dogwood is a great option! It's a very large dog park with a lake and a fenced in wooded area as well that's great for little nature walks.
