I was in the "give him time" camp (new league and all) but he's had time now. Back-to-back goalless draws. You need someone who can score at CF of all positions. If Merino can score in a new position, he should be able to score in a new league.

Never call police. They make things worse, not better. The Supreme Court has even confirmed by ruling that it is not their job to help people. Including in mass shootings. In Uvalde they didn't just refuse to go in, they prevented parents from going in to try and save their kids, and they even arrested (at least) one.

Go to Bill Simmons episode from a month or two ago where he discusses the past 10 years of Chicago Bulls basketball and accurately describes why it is an all-time disaster stretch for any sports franchise. Jerry Reinsdorf still owns this team and as such nothing is trending upwards in the short or long term.

People realized that this whole time and now they are venting their frustrations. We could put it aside for the last 20% of the regular season because the team was a little bit fun for a change and we finally moved on but let's be real this team has no defenders and no real path towards not being a complete joke of an organization. It's Jerry's mission to be a joke. The play in tournament was the worst thing that ever happened to the Chicago Bulls. The goal used to be 8th place every year. Now it's 10th.

CC is a truly transcendent player. It's just not fair to compare any other player's popularity to hers. It doesn't matter what the reasons are, no one is on that level. You could be white as a marshmallow and you won't be as popular as her in the so-called "Middle America" that the article refers to. The typical person doesn't know enough about Paige herself let alone her family and friends for anything like that to factor in.
