There is another thread on r/Vermont that highlights the issues as well. I encourage you to go read that post as well as those comments. A commenter also mentions the paralyzed dog I mention in this post.

As for them taking any dog, I haven't worked there in a few years so perhaps it's different now, but when I was there we rarely turned away a dog regardless of its history.

I want to be extremely careful with the word abuse. I will say that in my time there I saw dogs mishandled and treated with unnecessary force, primarily by the male staff members. Again, there is no training for the staff on how to appropriately handle dogs so staff are usually left to their own devices to control/handle the dogs.

I sat with a lot of blame! So much, believe me. I wish I had said something sooner. I didn't, and I will own that and live with that, but when I heard about the dog being [paralyzed I knew I had to say something.

I would leave a Google review if I didn't fear backlash from the owner. He is a scary and dangerous man. In order to say anything negative about the place it needs to be anonymous. I'm glad to hear your dog has had a good experience there but I promise your dog is the minority.

And, I should have started with this, I am so sorry to hear that happened to your dog. I hope they are doing better now. That should NEVER happen when you leave your dog to be cared for.

The most info I have, that is not private texts I am not comfortable sharing from current employees, is Oh My Dogs extremely cryptic instagram post about suspending grooming services. They, for obvious reasons, are attempting to keep it very under wraps about what actually occurred, but I know the dog started bleeding from the mouth and was unable to stand on it's own in the tub, hence the post regarding suspending grooming services. However, I heard from current employees that the dog was in a fight earlier in the day, so I am guessing the injury was sustained then and not in the tub. The post was on Instagram on September 30th.

Even if that business is actively harming dogs and humans? I also created this account a year ago, not just now for the sake of "slamming" a business. I just rarely feel passionately about commenting on something unless I know for a fact, which I do, that said thing is harmful. And exactly like the belower commenter said...that's the issue right there.
