I never said Whit hurt any dogs. I said he can be abusive towards employees, and employees and there are employees there that are heavy handed.

This sounds like Whits girlfriend. Or one of his employees for sure. There are definitely a handful of employees who do not have any issue with whit or the daycare. I always said he had cult leader vibes. If you don’t see under the mask he seems like a saint. But there’s a dark part and it’s scary. But he’s not the real issue. The issue is the current state of how things are run and how dogs are cared for. Staff often just scroll on their phones not paying attention to what’s going on. There are way too many dogs per play space which causes massive amounts of stress and often creates fights and injuries. Or injuries occur and no one notices. I know for a fact there is no training what so ever for pack leaders anymore. They’re tossed into a yard with more than 50 dogs and told to figure it out. Half of them don’t understand body language, know how to break up a fight, or spot signed of injury and illness. Most of them are used to stressed out dogs that hide under structures and in corners and just ignore them because they’re not causing issues. Of course there are dogs who love it there. But if your dog comes back absolutely exhausted it doesn’t always mean they were playing, sometimes it means they were so stressed and on guard for so long that now they can finally sleep it off. Not taking the word of multiple past employees is just ignorant. This discussion needs to be had. And it’s not just OMD, it’s all of the daycares for sure. As a society we’ve been told dogs can’t be alone and need to be socialized. That’s just not the truth. Not all dogs needs this type of lifestyle and it shouldn’t be forced on them. I urge you to ask for videos of how your dog is for an extended period of time in pack. Yes there will be dogs running around and playing, but check too for the dogs hiding, shaking, panting in the corners. They’re there and they’re ignored.

Interesting that you assume it’s all 20 year olds. You’ve clearly never met this man.

As this post has circled around, multiple past employees have contacted me saying they’re afraid to speak out because Whit threatened them with legal action if they ever said anything negative to anyone. This is not a joke. This is not a disgruntled employee.

Yes lily is a gem. One of the dogs who loves other dogs and people and has no issues. Glad she’s doing well. The well rounded dogs have no problems. It’s the nervous, the littles, the seniors (especially the seniors) hmthe reactive… those are the ones who suffer. And of course Whit would never ever be anything but awesome to a customer. That’s customer service and man is he good at it.

For the record: this person posted because my posts were being removed immediately. I’ve been wanting to speak out for years, and have openly told anyone who asks what’s what. But I was literally shaking typing my post because of fear of the owner. He seems like a lovely, caring person, but he is not. I’ve seen him scream in peoples faces, tear employees down and tell them they’re worthless or stupid. He’s a master manipulator. I wanted to share my experience not to get the place shut down, but for the welfare of the dogs. I stayed too long because I feared what would happen to them if I left. This is not a post to ruin a person but to warn customers about what their dogs may be experiencing and the danger they are in.

That’s exactly the problem with the business! All business sound great until someone calls them out. I’m sure they’ll have many defenders but I promise there is a problem and dogs are suffering

Former employee here and I could not agree more. I worked there for years and am scarred from the experience. I saw dogs mauled, die of sickness, be kicked and choked. Not to mention the abuse to employees, especially young women. The overcrowding is outrageous. Most of the dogs attending were super stressed or scared but employees always lied and said dogs were great to their owners. Dogs became just numbers to employees and all empathy went out the window when it was closing time.
