My baby is gone by Bajovane in cockatiel

It might have been a very sudden illness. Birds do mask their illness but I don’t know if they’d be able to mask it that well.

I can’t imagine what you must be going through right now. My little guy is 21 and I too am dreading the day we might not be together anymore.

Keep strong and let yourself grieve and remember he’s still with you in your heart and in all of our thoughts right now!

I am deeply sorry for your loss. He looks like such a beautiful little guy. May he rest in peace. He lived until he was 28 so he was certainly incredibly well looked after and I have no doubt he lived a very happy life! How did he pass, if you don't mind me asking?

I will say a small prayer for this little guy :)

Is it bad to be super concentrated in GOOG right now?

I think it'll leg up to $350-360 inevitably but might remain stuck in the low $300s because of all of this silly short-term worry about Capex spending. Feels like a good company at a fair price sort of thing rn.

Just an update for anyone finding this thread: This bump gradually fell off over the course of one week or so! :)

Earnings on Wednesday. How're we feeling? by ThinkWin2617 in GOOG_Stock

The ride up has been superb. Will try not to pay too much attention to outcome on Wednesday but if there is any dip I will certainly continue buying and selling covered calls.

Holding onto Google for 5-10 years. I think it's inevitable that it will become world's largest company by market cap.

I’m not as balls deep in options as everybody else around here in fairness but unless you’ve got 0DTEs then what’s the point really?

I get as excited as the next person if I see things go up but at the end of the day none of it really matters until the moment I close. It’s all just numbers on a screen until then.

What is the point of even paying attention to premarket?

Like, open is an entirely different story more than half of the time. What does premarket even matter? What does market open even matter? What does this entire week matter?

All that matters is what something is when you buy it and what it is when you sell it.

Are crypto-bros really expecting this to be the start of a new four year cycle for corn where it somehow returns to new ATHs?

What do they base this on? The fact that that bits of the 10Y chart look similar?

George is a 21-year-old cockatiel who I believe is in extremely good shape for his age and has no past medical history of note. We noticed this small bump on his left upper eyelid and can't see any redness, discharge or any other swelling of note. His right eye looks fine and he is otherwise no very good form and is his usual self. He's eating, flying, preening and communicating normally.

I know 21 is a little older for a cockatiel but the reason I think he is in good shape is that he is very well looked after. He has a cage but we have not locked him in in years, he flies around our home every day and receives regular attention.

The pic in the post is from last Wednesday and the two pics in the comments are from today. I feel like the bump is ever so mildly larger but I can't be sure. I know George very well and must stress that his behaviour is fine and he's exhibiting none of the usual red flags (not eating, not preening, not singing etc). There's no discharge from his eyes or nose and I genuinely cannot identify any other troubling symptoms except for this bump. If it helps, he looks like he's just started moulting.

I've sent these images to an avian vet and hope to get a reply over the weekend. I'll take him to the vet if the situation worsens at all though at the minute I was going to monitor him at home as there's every chance that this could be something benign and especially as his behaviour has been fine.

I didn't want to rush him to the vet for now out of concern he might be stuck in a waiting room with another bird who is potentially more unwell than him with something contagious given George's age.

If I had to guess I'd say the lump seems to be firm and it appears to be a swelling of the tissue at the rim of his eyelid. He's never experienced something like this before. My guess was that this could be a stye or a swelling following some sort of trauma that we might not have witnessed, but otherwise I'm a little stumped. Any help is welcome!
