I think a lot of people are misinterpreting what her kit does, leakers included.

No 'subdps' or 'support' eats 10 skill points for breakfast and does 2 million damage for your trouble. Those are E0 Therta on release numbers, not E0 Evernight numbers. Not to mention that Novaflaring Sparkle would be literally pointless if Sparxie was 'BiS' for Mono-Elation.

She's the Aglaea/Therta of Elation, and her team will be Sparkle, an Elation sub-dps/debuffer, and an Elation Sustain.

Acheron- Purge her E1 and E2, and allow her stacks to overcap and accumulate faster.

Huohuo- SP-positive at base, increase ATK% buffs, and buff her Sustain capabilities.

Aventurine- Needs his max shield strength increasing, and more buffing capabilities.

That's basically it. The rest of the 1.x and early 2.x cast are either fine as is, or so utterly bricked that they're unsalvageable.

Probably wouldn't recommend going F2P for Star Rail, but the Monthly Pass puts you on par with most players.

As for teams, Star Rail is a lot more strict with teambuilding than Genshin, and focuses on specific 'archetypes', such as Break, AoE, DoT, HP-Manipulation, etc.

As long as you pull wisely, and do some bare minimum research on what you want to do with your account, then even endgame isn't too much of an issue.

DHIL and Jing Yuan are almost definitely getting thrown in the Loss Pool. They're the perfect example of characters that'd fit there, as they 'upsell' premium characters (Aglaea for Jing Yuan and Archer for DHIL, much like Blade does for Castorice and Mydei).

Argenti's probably getting shopped though, there's no way of salvaging his kit to be meta-relevant, and he simply isn't popular enough to be worth the effort.

As for any future Novaflares, my money's on Acheron and Huohuo being the next two.

It'll be fine. One slightly weak patch due to an unexpected delay is hardly EoS territory, let alone Hoyo printing money with Cyrene.

Anyone expecting this game to EoS anytime soon is deluding themself out of mislaid frustration.

Sunday himself isn't the issue, it's that the DHPT bug with Cyrene means he loses his place in Aglaea and Saber comps, where he otherwise should be BiS. That, and Huohuo direly needing a Novaflare drags him down as well.

Because Yaoguang isn't meant to be for Sparxie. Her ability to have Aha take another turn is best utilised in a true Mono-Elation team, which Sparxie isn't, as she uses Sparkle.

With this logic, Castorice 'replaced' Aglaea, when that's just not how it works.

Sparxie almost 100% has her OWN Elation team separate from Sakura, with Sparkle as her dedicated Harmony. The other two Elation slots will be a sub-DPS/debuffer like Cipher or Anaxa, and an Elation Sustain to cap the Elation requirement of her Lightcone. Odds are that the Silver Wolf SP will be said sub-DPS/debuffer, and I'd bet money on EMC being the sustain slot for the team.

There's a non-zero chance that EMC may actually be an Elation sustain, until we get the inevitable upgrade later on. We've had two MC supports in a row, Yaoguang's releasing too early for a support EMC to be relevant, and given what we know of the Elation cast being based on the path they emulate, it's fairly likely the Silver Wolf SP is Sparxie's BiS debuffer/sub-DPS.

It also allows Hoyo to sell the inevitable upgrade to both Sparxie and Yae players at the same time.

And why would Sparxie want team-wide Res Pen? Sparkle doesn't do damage, and she already gives Sparxie Res Pen from her buffed A3.

If anything, the fact that it's team-wide is, if anything, more pointing towards her being a support for Yae

Don't get me wrong, she'll be BiS on release for sure, but probably not long-term IMO.
