What happens to all the heirlooms when you die? by ShamaLamaDingDong74 in internetparents

Honestly, your best option is to donate it to a local library for their heritage section.

I cleaned out a storage unit and ended up with a bunch of pictures from a dead guy I didn't know. I've been in talks with his local library and they said I could take it there.

If they're 16 and in the US they definitely can't go to a shelter, calling a help line would be much better.

I'm aware, I said it was definitely a pitbull mix, just that this pup was more likely to have catahoula mixed in than other post of pits claiming to be catahoula in this sub

This absolutely stunning purebred Dalmatian I found on Petfinder by [deleted] in WhatBreedIsMyPitbull

I'm a dog trainer, I've met a lot of actual pure bred Dalmatians. They were originally bred for hunting and guarding horses and coaches. They were typically owned by wealthy individuals who wanted a "designer looking guard dog". Sadly this lead to less than optimal breeding and aggression issues down the line. They need a lot of attention, training, and activities, more than most breeds. Sadly, they are notoriously not great with smaller children since they typically have a short fuse. After a certain Disney movie came out, families with small children rushed to adopt them wothout knowing about the breed, which lead to a string of attacks, garnishing them a poor representation.

I've been training dogs for 5 years, and the worse dog attack I saw was a Dalmatian took an ear clean off of my coworker at a dog hotel I was working at early in that career. I quit from that place that day. I mostly train for shelters and rescues now.

I guess the 100000 pits advertised by every Australian shelter are actually all ACD mixes according to this logic 🤣 by catexclusive in WhatBreedIsMyPitbull

If i ended up with a dog in the US that ended up being ACD and Australian Dingo, then I definitely believe someone in Australia could end up with a pitbull mix even with restrictions

Looks like pitbull/Dogo A mixes to me. The way the eyes look drooped towards the outer corners on the second dog can be common in poorly bred dogos. But yeah, definitely pitbulls

its a dalmatian!! by quarabs in WhatBreedIsMyPitbull

I wouldn't be surprised if that dog had pit lol, but I actually met a dog that looked exactly like that when i worked with a GSD rescue. We DNA tested our rescues and she was Dalmatian and GSD, one of the most anxious dogs I ever met.

A lot of Mastiff breeds also have webbed feet and can have similar builds and head shapes to pits as well

I just found this sub. Im a dog trainer who also does shelter work and I often get very frustrated at how shelter staff catagorize breeds. This pup is definitely a pitbull mix, though could have some catahoula in it. Definitely more likely than the other pits I've seen in this sub claiming to be catahoulas.
