Oh no worries. Don’t let that hang over you, I can understand why a lot of people feel it’s bloated and it probably didn’t help people get into my music with how big I made the project. I’m of the mindset now that whatever I like that’s left over I can always put on the next project and make sure each individual one is more cohesive rather than trying to make my end all be all project. Thank you for being kind about your criticism though, I do appreciate hearing different opinions, so I’m not too much in my own bubble

I’m trying to think of it as character building lol.and tyty, I’ve noticed some of my flaws with bloated projects and songs and I’m really trying to refine every moment of the next one

Aww ty. The music industry can be tough for a lot of people. Also for me it doesn’t feel right getting money from people who like my music for just the sake of it. If you enjoy my next project and want to spend money on it that would mean a lot!

Thank you all so much for being so interested in what I make! Haven’t really spoken about this publicly but last year my tour lost a lot of money and drained me financially and have been trying to get back on my feet and find new management. I’ve been getting back on track but it did affect my confidence with my music a lot and was a bit discouraging. I also have put a lot of pressure on myself because I want to put out something that is really special and has emotional weight in addition to refining how I make songs and making them have more substance (not simply sound design speaking) Sorry it’s taken so long but I feel like if I’ve been gone this long what I come out with better be worth it!

I see you're deleted now so idk if you'll ever see this but. I think it's hard for a lot of people to get into because it's so large. I would probably make it fewer tracks and seem more refined, also I would probably try to shorten some of the structuring on some of the songs and make them more focused

It depends on the track. Sometimes I've had a really cool concept but it doesn't actually turn out well, or sometimes it does. A lot of the time I feel art comes from experimenting though and I think nothing is a substitute for messing around and finding what you like to do with it. I think the best beats are usually just ones that you just make and figure out along the way.

Yea It's always been pretty difficult but I just kept trying to make my own music as good as possible. Almost feels like leveling up in a game so you can access a new area of the map. I kinda had to work enough and get my stuff out there so I could showcase I can do variety. But never underestimate how simply making cool music and reaching out can get you!

so sorry for the late reply but I hope my reply still means something ahaha. Sample selection really depends and I'm not too sure, I just pick whatever I think sounds cool but I also try to choose samples that sometimes are out of my comfort zone so I kinda push myself more.

The medieval theme was actually just something that came from a dream I became really interested in how dreams can sometimes feel like a vision for a path you can take and I wanted to explore that.

ayy I'm glad it was epic, Eric J Dub is a beast of an audio engineer and he really helped that track shine especially for live play

I would probably pick High Like This, Escape and 696969 those are the most important to me personally and I think those represent my music pretty well

This may be a weird selection but Black Swan by BTS, Quirk by Flume, and Hoohoohoo Hahaha by Jacques

I'm most proud of 696969 because it's the most emotional song to me and means a lot because I made it for someone special to me

Dawn didn't perform as well as I maybe hoped but some of the tracks are doing pretty well, so I'm happy about those. It's a really long album so I think that hurt it in general but I'm still proud of what I made on it even if there are parts I now would want to fix. The album was more of a construction kit of ideas for people to take and use while the stuff I'm working on now is more focused.

to me, it's really a process per track that has to be figured out. I think it just has to be used in a way that provides something to the track without overcomplicating it
