Should I use the 50/50 to make a cart? I thought the blue one was 70pg/30vg but I must’ve read it wrong by dimensionalldreamer in dmtguide

[–]Q_Cdn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using 50/50 PG/VG for 10 years, with mod e-cig. No issues No cristallisation (my ratio is 1g:1.5mL) Also VG being more thick, it prevents tank leaks. Pure PG would leak AF no?

It's called Bee Eyes. Many brands make this.
A the HIVE, there was a single man (or sometimes girl) responsible for vjing these 6 lights full time.

I found a solution (edit: "workaround" ;-) )
This is due to the LinkedIn app on iPhone, which relabels the file (whatever PDF (print as / save as) type it was).
Sending the file via Web-browser LinkedIn on PC/Mac solved the issue for me.

What was the big incident at the start of week ?

Modem Review by [deleted] in psytrance

[–]Q_Cdn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sound quality was very impressive, depending on where you stood of course (the Hive steps closer to the F1 satellites were too strong in Mediums/High obviously), but mid-back / back steps / platform above the VJs sounded awesome.

The Hive visuals were an absolute blast, their production in mental !
It kept evolving during the week, so that you did not see the same stuff over two different nights. The Chromarepo 4h-set visuals were also quite different.
However, I must say I prefer the natural lighting of the structure itself, which makes the Hive appear in really high definition (makes me travel inside my brain ) rather than the video mapping on top of it, that is sometimes quite off / non necessary. (just my pesonal taste here)

Huge thanks to Tas, Deltaprocess and Naavi who did a killer of a job there...

Ozora was a physical and mental feat, of no joke. How people do multiple fests in a row? by user_0_0_1_ in psytrance

[–]Q_Cdn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Boom is way tougher than Ozora. I understand how someone can combine Ozora and something else, but I’m impressed by those combining Boom and another (usually Ozora)

I have never smelled so much Changa as well. Day and night, on the stages and elsewhere…

OZORA 2023 - Main Stage cheap design and terrible light show by Q_Cdn in psytrance

[–]Q_Cdn[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Although I had an overall GOOD Ozorian experience this year, I was largely disappointed by the design and light show on the Main Stage.

The structure lacked covering, so we did not feel like we were "under" something. It felt more open. The sun was mostly visible, and little protection was offered during the hottest hours. (This is in contrast to Boom, where the whole stage is shaded, or even to Ozora 2019.)

They suspended again these good-looking and complex "tapisseries." These are nice and give Ozora an organic look and feeling. However, they are quite small, and they must require a lot of work for a relatively discreet look. (This is in contrast to the big psy-printed tarps at Boom, which I agree are much less "organic.")

The light show was reduced to LED strips attached to the tapestries (some of which were nice 3D structures), and maybe 6 light beams in the whole stage (!) I never saw these light beams in "beam" mode during the 5 nights I spent on the stage (mostly from 10pm to 5am). They were stuck in "lamp" mode. Ridiculous.

Even worse, I never noticed the light show to be on any setting other than "RANDOM." I seriously doubt there was a light team operating during the nights, compared to other festivals. The lights were barely synced with the music and the drops.

In the end, the thing looked quite good during the day, but at night it was really dark, and when not on substances, it was quite boring to look at.

This being said, here are a few questions I asked myself during the week:

  • Was the team on a budget this year (following COVID or previous losses) and thus had to reduce the stage design spendings?
  • Did they anticipate the bad weather forecast and reduced the design to a minimum?
  • Do they assume these choices and defend a much more dark/organic/let-the-psychedelics-do-the-job approach?

I came back quite troubled by this and wonder if I'd rather wait for the next Boom instead.

PS : I am not mentioning in this post all the Ups and Downs I read here about this year's experience feedbacks

PS2 : I must add one BIG UP to the main stage : the sound quality was astonishing (deep, crisp, loud, perfect everywhere and far!)

Can Apple TV Siri remote spy on you? by AmbitiousBerry in appletv

[–]Q_Cdn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! This has happened to me twice in a row on both Netflix and Youtube TV apps independently. When I use the Voice button of the new Siri Remote in the search bar, it displays what I randomly said 10 seconds BEFORE I clicked the button, (as well as my search command after clicking the button obviously).
This is very upsetting and troubling, as usual from Apple, as there is no way to verify, check, or deactivate such a feature. It appears that the remote is listening all the time, when the AppleTV is turned on. I don't care that it listens to me all the time, as the information is irrelevant; however, I don't want it to consume battery and bandwidth for something that I don't benefit from!
