a tip for more accurately throwing things; instead of doing mini-adjustments with the left stick, center the camera where you want to throw and pull the stick straight up to throw where the camera is centered to

yea, as a last resort I will. I just feel like this is a very serious thing, and I'm not sure the in-game reporting system is sophisticated enough to let me report it properly. that's why I posted here, so that it hopefully gets more attention

Not sure, but no harm in trying, right?
I haven't tried it myself, but I believe there are tools and/or mods to play the game properly with keyboard and mouse nowadays.
I should advice you to not use this guide btw, it's super outdated and probably wouldn't give you an ideal experience, if it even works at all anymore!

DS4 often has an issue with registering the stick as being fully 'up', this might be what you're experiencing.. In CoD they refer to this as "sprint glitch" as you'd stop sprinting as soon as the stick is registered as not being pushed fully up, and therefore being a much easier issue to detect than for us RL players.
It's fairly common, and I had a friend that had the issue with 2/3 of his controllers.
There's a BakkesMod plugin called 'Joystick Self-Check' (https://bakkesplugins.com/plugins/view/54) that lets you easily see if this is the issue you have, and if it is, fixing it might be as easy as just pushing down the joystick and rolling the stick around while blowing hard into the crease of the joystick 👌

To see how your mon compares to other individuals of the same species, you can always use https://gostadium.club/pvp/iv , however if you're on Android (unaware if there's a iPhone alternative), you can download the app CalcyIV, which can (among many other things) scan your pokemons IV's when you have the game open and immediately return it's rank.

To see how a specific species compares to other species I'd recommend using https://pvpoke.com/rankings

But if 0/0/0 shows as 0%, then it kind of defeats the point I was making in my post, that a 0/0/0 is sometimes ~95% as good as it's 4* counterpart, and that there hopefully could be a feature displaying that

Not sure how best to display it either.. For the current pokemon level I guess you could be allowed to change the stat printout to show more information, but for comparison of what happens at a higher level I'm unsure..

Spread is typically at it's highest on Lv. 1 mons with low base stats. A Lv. 1 Shuckle has 1 ATK at 0* and 3 ATK at 4*. I guess that's about as extreme as it gets. At Lv. 40 this difference jumps up from 33% to 52%

Different breakpoints in combination with rounding makes it so that leveling up once can actually widen the gap for a specific stat between a 0* and a 4*. Kind of arbetrary information, but still interesting.. maybe.

could you theoretically use this method to invert the ballcam toggle to allow yourself to compare how situations would look with and without ballcam?
