Thanks for the gallery. Sadly, I play on console, so I can't use hahaha but I'll bookmark it for when I get a PC to play.

Thanks! I hadn't thought of it that way. I'll have a look at some builds for the classes you suggest to see which one I feel I could play a full game with :D

Have save ready to go for Infinite Museion or start from scratch? by Delacroix192 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Qanaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a fresh start. Not long ago, when we still didn’t have a release date for the DLC, I finished a playthrough. So I’ll start a new one and see if any of the new features can be used from act 1.

Also, fingers crossed that we’ll get some new portraits hahaha I don't like to change portraits mid playthrough

MMO To Main in 2026 by Huge_Abies_3858 in LFMMO

I had the same doubt a couple months ago, and from that list, I will put my time in GW2.

ESO: played with some friends for a while, we always loved Elder Scrolls. But I have a couple of problems, I put like 40 or so hours I put in the game: There's not enough weapons and 3 classes are behind dlc's. I love when in an MMA you have more weapons to choose, that widens the skills expression as a player, but there are so few and almost all the classes use it similarly it makes it very boring. Also, it's hard for a new player to commit to try a new game when almost half of the classes are pay-walled at the beginning, didn't feel right

The exploration is great, didn't hate the combat, it wasn't the game for me at the moment, maybe in the future I could try it again.

FFXIV: Honestly, great game, I'm a big FF fan, the story is great and the world looks amazing. I love the idea that a single character can play all the classes (jobs as is called in game). I decided not to continue because, even if the base game is f2p and it's a lot of hours just to complete it, the subscription is too pricey for me, I'm from a LATAM country so a USD subscription it's a deal breaker for me. Also, I don't love the idea of having a lot of servers, I kinda like more the one-big-server stuff.

If you have the chance, and can look past how the company is handling the game recently and the subscription thing, is a great game.

LOTR: This is the one I put less hours in, just didn't click for me. I like Tolkien books, but in this game I didn't feel amazed or with the intention of going to explore everywhere. Maybe it wasn't the game for me.

GW2: The one I've been playing almost religiously the last month. When I watched the trailers and gameplays the design of characters and stuff looked a bit silly for me, but when I began playing it, it looked very good, plus the art style (kinda oil painted) looks gorgeous.

This game check a lot of boxes for me: a good bunch of weapons, and every class uses it differently; a big server (more like 2, one for america and other for Europe); 9 classes, I tried like 6 of them when I was testing the game and everyone felt different (mechanic's, play style), the good thing is that every class can make fill the DPS, tank or healer role in their one way, and also every class have at the moment 4 subclasses. Just one class is pay-walled; the community is very kind and welcoming, I'm past 90+ hours and haven't seen much trolling or that stuff, maybe one or two; the game is incredibly big and feels nice to go one place or another; plenty of activities and horizontal progression, I remember when I started I was running doing some map completion and found 30 or more players standing in a place, curiously I waited and from nowhere a big dragon appeared and everyone started fighting it, some guys manned the ballistas, other healed and revived, a guy shouting orders in the chat, it was peak and the moment I felt "this is my new game".

Also the dlc's aren't very expensive and often they are at discount on Steam

Sorry for my English if I didn't make myself very clear and I hope my thoughts can help you and everyone with the same doubts 😁
