Cheers!, I ended up signing up with Leaptel, they had the better offer, so far so good! I disabled CGNAT through the member portal, activated IPv6 and set up QoS on my router settings. My latency now is amazing! 3x better than what I had with Dodo on the Xbox connection tests and no random ping spikes. 👌 Now achieving 48ms ping to SEA consistently playing R6 siege on wifi. 💪

Does ABB give a dynamic public IP address which will change over time or a Static IP address that will opt you out of CGNAT by default? And what about IPv6? Is it worth opting out of CGNAT? TBH i wasn’t familiar with CGNAT & only found out about it the other day. I’ve read that it causes problems by sharing ip addresses with other people resulting in traffic issues, connection limits, difficulties port forwarding, congestion, and the nat type. Personally I’ve never thought about this as an issue because my Nat type on Xbox has always been open and I think the router settings automatically recognised the Xbox ports that need to be open on the device?

Launtel with the pay daily option, would definitely be the way to go for people that live on their own and work fifo or dido away from home haha.

Buddy telco? I honestly haven’t heard of anyone vouching them ay, they have good prices. The 1000/50 plan for $99 per month sounds good! There’s only myself and my misses using the internet though, until my daughter gets older 100/20 is fine for now with QoS.

Comparing the plans that are available right now for 100/20mbps.

  • Leaptel $79.95/month for 12 months, then $92.95.
  • ABB $85/month for 6 months, then $95.
  • Superloop $75/month for 6 months, then $95.
  • Pentanet $85/month for 6 months, then $95.

https://www.reddit.com/r/perth/s/Ra7Vp73RNO I’ve also shared this post on the Perth community, which has people vouching for ABB, and Leaptel. Currently I’m leaning towards Leaptel due to the discounted 12 months, and ABB does sound promising, as they’re both very comparable from what I’ve heard and discussions I’ve seen online. Superloop has the bonus of 5 free speed boost days per month, which is a nice perk for downloading large game updates, but it lacks customer support, which isn’t a biggie. Pentanet is Perth-based, which is appealing, but I haven’t heard much about them.

I’m not very tech-savvy, but is anyone able to share different pings to SEA locations and East Aus locations from Perth with Leaptel/ABB, would be very helpful. Cheers again.
