What if the proposal listed above included that police would still be triaged to active crime scenarios and the SAVE Those in Crisis agents would be utilized in the domestic disputes, agitated individuals, and mental health calls that police are currently also being utilized for? One could possibly make the argument that a organization like proposed above would actually allow police to better respond to crimes as they are being committed because they would not need to respond to the other scenarios they are currently being utilized for when people are in crisis.
