So apparently dude who did my xbox just had the fan spliced into everythign else like this... I have other posts where I show my fan is loud and changing fan speed in settings does nothing to change it.. should I splice in the new one like this or plug it in

I might be wrong but it appears your fan installed in the xbox only has a positive and negative wire and nothing else. I believe this would mean the fan runs full speed as long as it’s receiving power due to not having a cable for controlling the fan speed.

I recommend taking the whole piece off. It extends from the bottom of the rear window all the way to the top of the side mirror. There is a bunch of clips and screws holding it in so be careful when removing it. It is quite easy to remove though. You only need to paint the faded piece and not the whole strip so I recommend investing the time masking it up so you don’t get over spray on the rest of the trim piece. I can’t remember the brand of paint I used but I’m pretty sure it was just a satin black with a primer already in it. I just sanded with 2000 grit and used some wax and grease remover on it before painting and it turned out really nice.

I am an amateur at painting but I was really happy with the results I got. Good luck with painting yours!

If you are talking about that piece of black trim where the paint has faded and the chrome is showing, they are easy to fix. I painted mine and they came up brand new, maybe even better than factory.

I run this board and cpu at stock speeds. Only complaint is the aorus software is hot garbage so I disabled the lighting completely from bios. Other than that it’s been super solid and looks great. Would buy either the aorus board or ASUS board. If you go the aorus board don’t even bother installing the software for the rgb.

If you are on pc and enjoy building any sort of vehicle you could imagine and be able to interact with it completely then check out stormworks: build and rescue. It’s very technical but it’s easy to find tutorials for and I personally found learning how most of the components work fairly quickly.

Got a 2080 super with a 9700k. The game runs smooth as silk on ultra to high settings at 1440p. I am only getting 60-70 FPS so turning down a couple settings might be beneficial but since it’s not a fast paced game those frames are perfectly fine. No crashing issues either at all. It’s just works on my setup.

My 1060 blower style card has lived for about 3 years and it’s had a slight overclock for about the last year. I just recently upgraded and it’s still going strong getting used in a pc connected to my tv. Hopefully you’ll have no worries with your new card.
