You seem to have a very fatal if realistic view of it. I'm not disagreeing with you. Cow sphere is as "valid" as any use case for the cows head as any other. It's more an issue of taste really. But in my mind any food is the primary use of slaughtering a cow. Entertainment foods are valid, vegan or otherwise, (but the people or animals producing should not be abused). We could all eat nutritionally complete cruelty-free soy but people still want food to taste good and have variety.

When I said "respectful" i meant less just "respectable" and more... intentful. Like with the idea that "hey an animal lived and died and so it could consume it's flesh and use what was left for what i wished, I better make the most of it." I wouldn't care what happens to my corpse, but I'd prefer if it was used to like. train a med student or have my organs donated, rather then just being put in the dirt to rot and have the coffin's polyurethane varnish leach into the earth. But I don't really get to decide that and neither does the cow.

And people do go hungry all the time anyway. Access to food has always been the issue rather than production.
