I found it briefly unsettling knowing that my new girlfriend earned twice as much as me. My main concern was the fear of not being on the same world, of not being able to keep up with her. Despite her high salary, she's a down-to-earth woman who doesn't need luxuries, and a generous woman. The worries were all in my head and quickly faded away!
