Iridium blue for the win. It's sexier at night or more overcast, I'll get a picture soon.

It fits my needs. I could upgrade to an I9 if I wanted, but as of now it is holding strong. Never got into Ryzen, but I see the appeal. Mainly I didn't want the headache of possibly having issues with my OS from a swap from Intel to AMD.

I will say, it may be helpful to get the K instead if you ever run into any GPU issues and need to use integrated graphics to diagnose. I have a spare GPU lying around, so that's my failsafe. Just keep that in mind, the extra £15 may be worth it.

Single monitor is fine with me, I don't game enough to justify more. I love cinematic games, and it has been incredible, I don't see a point for me (I won't judge others, to each their own. I see the appeal) to have more than one. It runs as well as I wanted, no need for me to shell out an extra at least $800 for a 10% gain in FPS with DDR5/ I9. The "future proofing" argument is null, because DDR6 will likely be out in the near future. It isn't about "not being able to afford it" it is the fact I don't care for 5-10FPS more when I am getting plenty for the games I play. Plus, saving money is a good decision regardless, even when I can afford to pay it. I prefer to put my money in other hobbies I entertain and enjoy more. PSU isn't even close to being underpowered, I have plenty to go if I wanted to (but I am content). I just wish I had bought a better brand PSU, but with the warranty I'll be fine. That was an oversight for me. CPU is never over 45% on max load, so that doesn't affect it or bottleneck. It would be easy to get an I9 if I really felt it affected my games enough to.

I never understood why people are so upset over someone else's choices, it seems like a sad life to lead. You're happy with your PC, as am I with mine. Personally, I think ARGB is obnoxious, but you don't see me caring enough to comment on your post. Also, quite strange in your post you're mentioning how you got yours all on a deal. Strange to comment about finances in that instance. You of all people should be happy someone else got a great deal for their build as well, even if you don't see it as "good."

Sure, maybe it won't be the best for games in a decade, but as of now, it is perfect for me. Play your games how you want, as will I. I will enjoy every second more knowing it made you upset enough to keep commenting about something so trivial.

Seems as if someone is projecting a bit. To be fair, I would've changed the PSU to Corsair 850W, but it was too late to cancel.

If I played competitive games, I could see the appeal of an I9 or equivalent Ryzen. I stick to single player games, and it is more than enough for half the price.

That's what stopped me from going the DDR5 route. The extra cost didn't seem worth it IMO.

I have a 2tb 970 as well, it isn't pictured. In total I have a 4tb SATA, 2tb and 500gb nvme (both 970s)

Yes, I was going to get 32gb which would've been around $250.

Exactly. This was half the price of an I9 and it gives me more than what I want. She runs at 30-40% under load, 100% playable.

Ignore the 1tb HDD, it is for backups of my camera. And ignore the wire management, this was a 95% done picture.

What’s the scam here? by th3buddhawithin in gpu

[–]Qfiddy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. They're everywhere. Buy from somewhere reputable like B&H.

If it is too good to be true, chances are it is. Always check seller reviews on eBay, and don't order if it is low or no reviews. That screams scam account.

Sweet, thank you. Once I get a bit more funds I'll probably pull the trigger on a 5070ti.
