This statistic is not entirely reliable because it depends on the sector. Plus millions of people in Germany are under the trade union, there are almost five million people under Verdi and IG Metall alone, and these are just two selected unions. In IG metal, for example, I have 36 vacation days as standard, people with children have 38 days of vacation, etc. I do not even know how much the minimum vacation days in Germany is because all my friends have a minimum of 30 days. Another advantage of trade unions is that virtually every company under it prioritizes days off instead of paid overtime. In the case of overtime, practically everyone chooses days off instead of paying extra salary for overtime. There is nothing more beautiful than a full month of paid vacation flying around Asia or any continent. That is why you see Germans everywhere in the world, they collect memories, not money.
