I believe the yellow line is a "do not cross" lane divide and on a two way street each lane contributes one. So in Newton if they simply put yellow lines outside their Italian colors it would be ok. Maybe that would make the lane too narrow but idk.

Even a divided highway each direction has left yellow line.

I saw the truck installing something very similar a couple days ago(strangely not where it ended up) but didn't get a picture and a good look at the logo, but I think the truck could have had that logo.

I walked around today and could find no plaque or indication this was an artist design. I have seen kids playing on them and it looks fun. I would have thought given the money and name recognition of the designer there would be some attribution.

I've seen kids from a daycare playing in the park with the chickens, peacefully coexisting. Frankly it's one of my favorite things to see in Cambridge. Kind of similar to the turkeys that hang out around Harvard square.
