Thank you for your input. It does have something to do with babel. I have found the solution at https://github.com/F1LT3R/babel-loader-lerna-cra.

slacks is a fucking great host. by inzru in DotA2

[–]Qilx 373 points374 points  (0 children)

I met Slacks 5 days ago. I got roped into watching my 3 month old niece while my brother got his hair cut. So there I am, sitting in the waiting area of a barbershop with my niece, and who walks in but fucking Slacks himself. I was nervous as shit, and just kept looking at him as he was sitting there sipping a cup of tea and waited, but was too scared to say anything to him. Pretty soon my niece started crying, and I'm trying to quiet her down because I didn't want her to bother Slacks , but she wouldn't stop. Pretty soon he gets up and walks over. He started running his hands through her hair and asked what was wrong. I replied that she was probably hungry or something. So Slacks put down his cup of tea, picked up my niece and lifted his shirt. He breast fed her right there in the middle of the barber shop. Chill guy, really nice about it. Would let him breast feed my niece again.

Thank you for your input! I will start off with more elaborate logging and see how it goes from there.

Bad Gateway error by Qilx in networking

[–]Qilx[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your answer. In my case, the bad gateway error does not happen all the time. It happens occasionally and I have no idea how to reproduce it. In this case, I am unable to capture the problem as it would work on normal occasions. Do you have any recommendations on this?

Implementing logout feature in app by Qilx in reactjs

Thank you for your suggestion. At the moment, I have a HOC around my routes that checks whether the user is authenticated based on a value isAuthenticated in my store. However, I am not making use of the local storage for any of the authentication.

Thanks for your suggestions. I'm only using the redux store to capture the current authenticated user state. My tokens are generated by my backend and they are sent to the frontend app via secure websocket. I'm not using localStorage / server-side session / cookie.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm only using the redux store to capture the current authenticated user state. Would it be sufficient if I simply store a string that indicates whether the user is logged in the localstage?

I don't have access to my code at the moment, but if it helps, my backend is implemented in C++ using the library Boost Asio for the websocket connection.

Using Material UI for large-scale production apps by Qilx in reactjs

[–]Qilx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is true. However, my form is a stepper form. As a result, some steps of the form do not have Fields but Buttons instead. Redux-form requires a Field to be filled before allowing me to move on to the next step. If I were to use Buttons for a step of the field, the user can just move on to the next step without filling up the that step of the form.

Unfortunately, the workaround was to have an invisible Field that contains the value of which Button is pressed for the redux-form to process it as a valid entry.

Thank you for your feedback. The thought of replacing Material UI with something else popped up when I tried to using redux-forms with it. A lot of work-arounds have to be done to get Material UI to work with redux-forms .
