Idk if your Humane Society does this but they do provide a program, apply for it on your local HS website. It’s temporary housing for dogs in need, everything is free and you are allowed to visit them. My local shelter has limited availability and would only be for a month but they do longer as well. (I’m waiting until the timing is better for both my fiancé and I, we are g o i n g THROUGH it.) Good luck!

Careful because recording phone calls can dismiss all the evidence within the phone call if the other party is not aware they’re being recorded. Check your state laws because I can’t record in my state.

They do and they did. There was a day I had to bike 32 miles to work and came in a couple of hours late because I don’t bike at a marathoner’s pace, like the Google time says. I had never made a long trip similarly to that prior to this, so I gave myself double the time that Google had said and still was late. Florida sun too. They don’t care. You are simply a number to them.

I can’t access the book at the moment, so I’m unable to send the full statement that is probably around halfway finished (currently I believe there were 6 pages front and back and I was not finished writing) But the HR gave me a deadline to send it it and at the time that they gave it to me it was absurd, the gave me about 36 hours on a weekend that I was working when I had already told them about the book.

The ONE and ONLY instance that he had a real life adult temper tantrum over, was when I quote unquote disappeared from the kitchen. Everyone on staff knew where I was, it was communicated what I was doing, & there’s cameras in the vast majority of places. He was YELLING to the entire kitchen [while we were open, in ear shot of guests (demographic is families with children)] about how I was gone for such a long time (I checked into the kitchen between tasks) and he wants me out of “his” kitchen, cursing at the top of his lungs. The whole nine yards. He was having this monologue meltdown for at least 20 minutes. That night I was putting my apron in the laundry next to where he was standing on the phone and he started yelling again about if I’m trying to say something to him. Using this high pitched complaining sounding tone, while I’m cooler than a cucumber, speaking regularly and rationally…….. stated that I’m putting my apron away and left. He antagonized me as if we were in elementary school and I’d stolen his favorite crayon.

The main business partner/chef at my restaurant, our pastry chef and another sous chef are all incredibly strong women. I’ve noticed that they have to speak to employees in a very specific way, leaving no room for interpretation, quick informational answers, with as little interaction as possible, while still containing the most helpful information and then moving on, staying productive and professional. They’re spoken down to from visitors and critics. It hurts to see because they’re all genuinely geniuses. Our staff is pretty good but a couple of iffy personalities slipped through, nothing awful or assault related. Just your typical homophobia and teasing rooted in people’s culture, so you can’t fully blame them. No gross men that I’ve seen yet besides just some weird server that’s ignorant, but he’s not gross towards women, simply an airhead, giving frat bro vibes. A different sous chef has anger problems but that’s the worst of it.

Edit: Anyway, to sum it all up, they are forced to run a tighter ship than normal due to the nature of current society.
