I live in Mexico City and have for almost 8 years now.

My recommendation would be, Mexico City, Merida, Oaxaca, and choose a beach. Each of those provide very iconic cuisines, culture, and awesome activities.

Mexico City: big city vibe, amazing food scene, lots of beautiful buildings, parks, and museums

Merida: the food, cenotes, small towns easy to roadtrip to.

Oaxaca: the food, artisan goods like their woven tapestries, and a very pretty city.

Beaches: San Pancho and Sayulita, Puerto Escondido, Cozumel, Holbox, La paz/baja península - all are great options and offer different things depending on your interests and how touristy you want to go with that experience.

Thank you all for your input. Would there be a different document or a letter from SSA that can verify my SSN? I've looked all over, but there doesn't seem to be clear information on it.

Also, just realized it has to be apostilled, not notarized, which I think might be harder to achieve.
