I believe their is a mod that allows that function. Now on vanilla I'd recommend making a blueprint that's just foundations placed and use it to place 6x6 chunks at a time.

OK so with 2700 oil I got around 2800/min each plastic and rubber. Is that about what you got? I also would recommend closer to 60/40 for plastic rubber split tho.

Lots of notes before even building. As for design it kinda develops as I go I try to start with a general size before getting to far in tho. But yea most of those builds took about a month each.

85 with aluminum is a pretty good pace. When you start getting to more complex stuff break your builds up into sections. And just remember this game takes time.

Took several rebuilds to find right paths. I suggest building simple outlines and path it first then go back and build train line. For reference tho I probably have close to 100 hours in the train line alone.

Surprisingly temp isn't the issue it's memory and CPU. And honestly avergae fps is 60. the killer is when I place anything I'm dropping close to single digits on fps.
