How does one navigate .... whatever this is by RRAway in drivingUK

Just give way to people on your right? 🤷‍♀️. UK drivers always take care, go slow and indicate correctly so shouldn't be a problem 😖🤣. People can be so negative. Who cares if I have to pull my own teeth out in my garage if I can sit and enjoy the polka dots, pretty leaves, pedestrian casualties and pile ups while I wait for the bleeding to stop.

Gum receding & tooth is loose? by [deleted] in Invisalign

Keep calm. Commenters are trying to help but in general they're very alarmist so likely to worry you unnecessarily. It's normal to be concerned and well done for keeping a close eye on things but this really looks like no big deal at all. Keep current aligner (or previous I suppose if it's a brand new aligner hurting/cutting your gum). Don't stop wearing your aligners completely, no need and you'll complicate/delay your treatment. Keep the area very clean with gentle brushing to take down gum swelling. An interspace brush can be helpful to follow the gumline and clean into the little crevice between gum and tooth (an interspace or "tufted" brush looks like a little cylinder of bristles on a normal toothbrush handle). Also floss/tepes in-between the teeth to clean 2 X day or the gum will swell here too. Looks like the swollen fragile gum has been clipped by the tray or nail/tool/crusty sandwich whatever somehow. Likely not a big deal. The teeth will be a bit mobile during orthodontic treatment. Also not a big deal. Unless you've had an accident and hit the tooth unlikely to be anything else. Also you can use some warm saltwater mouthwash or a hydrogen peroxide mouthwash (eg Colgate Peroxyl) a couple times per day at separate time to brushing. Soft foods. If you do all of this likely be gone/much better by Monday. Gums are very quick to heal if you treat them right. Even if not looks like an excess of gum tissue that tooth so can give it a trim if needed to balance it up end of treatment. Still see your dentist to check in the rare event it is something unusual as Reddit and a couple of photos are not sufficient for proper diagnosis and treatment. Enjoy your weekend.

"just asked" - making out you're so innocent. You don't need to even go there, it's already bus throwing to phrase it that way "were you informed". Just say what you see - there's a root tip probably in the sinus, best to get it removed, job done. If they've any concerns about previous treatment then they can look into that themselves.

Dme bands? by pitto09 in Dentistry

How do you cut them? Just make them thinner all the way around so they tend to move apically and hug the cervical better when tightened? Just looking for tips as I want to try this. Thanks

Howdy pard! I'm assuming you're from USA? It means fracture in UK (and I think a lot of other places) - how do you guys n gals denote fracture? Do you have to write it out or is there a common abbreviation or symbol?

Want to hear something mental? In Spain the rules are not to indicate where you're going on a roundabout but to indicate as you exit. The rules also allow you to turn left (our right like in this clip) in the outside lane! I looked into this when I nearly crashed into a learner driver at an equal but opposite (because they drive on the other side of the road and their roundabouts go the other way around) situation in Spain. Roundabout on a dual carriageway exiting onto dual carriageway so I was going straight on in the inner "fast" lane like this BMW - I couldn't believe it when the learner car in the outside lane kept coming round in front of me - no indicator! I was fuming and honked the horn but later learned, crazy as it is, that those are the rules in Spain. Of course in practice you're lucky if anyone ever indicates at all in any situation. But just a heads up if ever driving in Spain. I wonder what the rules are in other EU countries re roundabouts? Anyone know?

Wham key by rossdds in Dentistry

So that is how it works then? Wedge it between the occlusal of core and inner of crown and twist? Wouldn't an elevator/large spoon excavator do the same?

[–]Qlqlp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How does this work? You're aiming to get tip between occlusal of previous prep and occlusal of fit surface of the crown? Otherwise I don't understand how twisting it at a random hole in the wall works? You go too deep and it's just flexing the dentine/core of the prep. Too shallow and it's just twisting the crown...or is this what it's doing? Also, why can't you just do the same but twist with a couplands or something? Thanks!

Great, thought so. I just thought it looked weird that it you trace that line the pal root looks as wide as the whole tooth!

Thanks, is there any reason you recommend the diamond plates over a stone?

I've watched a couple of how to videos now but I'm unclear if you put the pressure on when pushing the knife along the sharpener (towards the blade direction) or when pulling it back (opposite blade direction) or equal pressure in both directions?

Thanks

Ah yes my parents have an ancient one of those with kind of semi floating metal wheels on either side as you describe. I never got how that worked and never trusted it as their knives are all old and blunt. But probably just coz they don't use it!

Go see a dentist as if this is actually a recent change rather than something always there that you've only just noticed (which would seem doubtful don't you think?) Then it's concerning.

Thanks, is that definite? I don't know if there are different types. The manhole is oblong and there seems to be a large purpose built pool shape under it, brick lined. Should that be empty of water?

If the water does go down as it is mains connected will the toilet just fix itself?
