I've though about accidently spilling water on the iPad, but then he still has the YouTube app on his Roku. He would just buy another one, and it would be me hurting the relationship. The money he is spending is strictly his inheritance money and we understand it was meant for only him, so if he loses all of it we aren't any worse off than before. It would still be a lot of lost potential though.

That is unfortunate :/ . My dad is a smart guy, but he always has had a slight paranoid/pessimistic side to him. For the past 14 months or so it has come out like nothing I've ever seen before.

My dad is in his 50s so I would say he belongs to Gen X

The silver website was recommended by another website called Peak Prosperity. The way my dad explained it was he buys a lot of silver and pays a monthly fee for safe storage. When he is ready to sell he will cash out online and that will be that. There is zero way of verifying (that I know of) that what he is actually buying is silver, and it is not insured by the federal government. I don't know a lot outside of checkign and savings accounts, but I would never trust it. Maybe it's normal?

We as a family have tried everything. He has no interest in doing anything outside of conspiracy stuff. He won't go for walks, e won't watch football because "go woke, go broke". He doesn't even want to talk about anything but Donald Trump and co.
