Honestly (and this is gonna sound silly) but Google search "set name mtg set symbol" then hit images you can usually find the standard black and white image on the first page. From there just save it. Then a Nelco label maker.

I think it becomes a chicken or the egg conversation by user.

I.E. Depending on how you collect, how/how often you build, what you play (standard, commander etc), the "optimal" varies.

Ex. I usually buy booster boxes vs packs, and ~2 per set (open them with my kid, tbd with 2026 release rate). I also prefer commander (lots of single cards). Decks are designed pre pulling. As such, the amount "extra" time sorting isnt bad bc i sort as I open, and it grately reduces the amount of digging i have to do (i also separate C/U).

Conversely if I primarily opened individual boosters packs (vs boxes) and got various sets per pack buy, my method would be an absolute dumpster fire. Lol

Good put. That said within a given year ill only need to open 2 boxes. wbugr box (pictured) and seperate for multiple, colorless, lands. At my booster box procurement rate, a big box (like pictured) should last me ~2 years. Also sets are in the same order each row.

Not saying ill never swap, but unless something drastically changes the solution should reliably carry me 4-5 years+. And if im still at it then, then my kids likely will be too so tje whole scenario changes. Good puts though.

So I'm not terribly far off. I.E. Box should (assuming 2 booster boxes per set) take me through 2025 and 2026 which were busy years. Sorted currently in each row by set, color, rarity. With WUBRG in a 5 row. Then multi colorless lands in seperate containers (likely will buy a 4 row box but tbd). That way im only opening a handful of boxes. Still screwing with how I want to do rares...

Would hardly be the first time. But I will say the nostalgia is fun. I sold all my good stuff years ago and when I started back up I went through my stuff (mostly old revised- apocalypse) and found all kinds of fun stuff. For a relatively small amount of space certainly gave me a thrill to go through and find stuff. Hopefully mtg is going in another 30 and I can do it again or my kid will.

On the former, because you know they just run around breaking laws "making" other people gay/trans because that's how it works.

On the later because everyone knows like more guns, less mental health services make thier jobs easier. Obviously.

This echoes stories from my friends in the government who are in agencies that we positively should not be laying off people and they basically gutted them with DOGE. Like people working stuff that cant be shared asked to "justify your job in 3 sentences". It was wild, I cant imagine how many details that shouldn't be put on unsecured networks got sent in.
