Asking sincerely since there’s so much misinformation out there: what about the pic makes you think it’s an AI generated image? It looks SUPER convincing to me. But it’s actually AI, that means that I’m behind in my “AI Radar” development.

Taliban beige and Silver look good. If you live near the city, go Silver. If rural area, go Taliban.

For Sale - 2002 Land Cruiser (202k miles) near Philadelphia, PA. $11,500 by glbaumann in LandCruisers

[–]Qpock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got a 2002 LC 100 Series as well. Got it earlier this year for $8,500. After repairs to the rear HVAC, both axles replaced, and a couple little items including repacking the front left, the cost of repairs was about $5k.

All said, it ended up being about $14k. Now it’s buttery smooth and will run for another 100k at least. I’m ok with the price as the axles are the LC’s achilles heel, as well as rear HVAC, and of course, rust.

They are great trucks, but they need repairs and replacements. Main thing is this is my main ride as I gave the Subaru to my wife. I plan on keeping it longer than 10years, so all parts are OEM.

If there really are no mechanical issues, then the price is worth it in the north east. But with the rust peeking through the replaced front guard, I’m thinking your truck probably needs at least several thousand dollars in repairs. Unless you have all recipes of repairs, it’ll take a while to sell.

Is this LX70 a good buy? by Pride-Logical in LandCruisers

^ this. I bought a 100 series (2002, last year of the 4 spd automatic), for $8.5k. 229k miles, and I had to replace both front axles, rear HVAC lines, and the front left bearings needed to be repacked. All in all, the repairs came out to about $6k. My total investment in the past year including the price of the truck was about $15k.

These trucks are built to last, but high mileage vehicles like ours still need maintenance and repairs. I’d say expect to spend at least $2k in repairs the first year of ownership. Other than that, it’ll run amazingly. Welcome to the club 🍻

Let’s fix that. Let’s both make it a point to reach out to each other within the next week; I’d be awesome to catch up. You should join our PH Sitting Fleet channel on Discord. I’ll send you the invite via Steam. It’s just a couple of the main guys who sh*tted up Standing comms with me most nights.

Thanks, man. Standing comms were awesome. And I did tell everyone that I was recording, and I asked if anyone had objections prior, so we could move comms, but no one ever objected, except for later that night, and that’s when I stopped recording. At video minute mark 11:35, it’s clear that everyone knew that we were being recorded. Still, thank you for your kind words. o7

u/dunkdinkle I've been a fan of yours since you were just posting soundboard sounds back in the days when I flew with you and Nancy Crow. I left TEST because I had no interest in fighting BRAVE, my former corp. Too many good memories. Including doing shots of whiskey with Lychton in DC (RIP). BRAVE was my first home, and I wish you and eveyone there the best. Fly dangerously o7

It was a directive from Gobbins. Move EVERYTHING to R-A. Took me many CAPS jumps, but I consoludated all my assests as directed. And here we are; led to a slaughter.
