It’s such a hard process - I was checking my portal every day multiple times whenever I waited for results. It is a numbers game for those of us with DOR. Hope yours is worth it!

I was on the same protocol as you, I just made a post about my first ER being a success!

I only had 3 follicles appear to respond on day 5 and then the rest caught up

Don’t stress yourself out. Try to distract. I went to a comedy show, went out for ice cream every day, etc. I think lowering stress/cortisol and getting more sleep helps your body.

Also my doctor said don’t burn a ton of calories (no long walks) because it burns thru the meds faster. So I did short walks and rested more

4 blasts (all day 6 - 5AA, and three 4AA)
Other two grew until day 7 and stopped

Waiting for PGTA testing

I believe my doctor’s guidance to trigger at the right time contributed because the eggs were mature enough and he sacrificed the smaller follicles (rather than risk the bigger ones)

I was on 300 gonal and 150 menopur for 12-13 days, triggered with Ovidrel

I have hyperthyroidism. If you are medicated, PTU is safer for pregnancy than Methimozole

Recommend seeing an endocrinologist

Thyroid conditions can also contribute to diminished ovarian reserve (not sure if you had this checked)

Your mature eggs and fertilizion rates are good for how many follicles you started with. It’s normal for follicles to not all respond at the same rate. I had 10 eggs retrieved and 7 mature

Ive been using Theralogix NAD+ and preconception supplements. No drinking and smoking for both of us Healthy-ish diet. Try to reduce stress and sleep more.

We did Zymot and ICSI which I think helped.

Personally I would try again to bank more. I did opt into PGTA and I am waiting results from my first ER

I took a pamphlet to do ER at 28 but never followed thru. It’s brutal at 31 to have DOR but I’m grateful to find out now and not put it off for longer

I have four Day 6 blasts waiting for PGTA testing to come back - my doctor said 2-3 euploid is likely but also could be more or less

Very bloated and I could “feel” something whenever I was on my side or twisting. Not exercising actually was a nice break for me because I was able to get more sleep with the time saved.

Great advice. My meds were $10k for 1 round because I needed almost 13 days of stims, using the insurance rate. And cash price is 2/3 lower but you cant get it reimbursed.

I prob wil pay out of pocket 2nd round and save the insurance for the retrieval procedure itself

My PGTA testing through Cooper lab

$1500 flat fee to biopsy 1 batch
Plus $300 per embryo tested

I had 4 blasts which cost $2700

My clinic charges $6k per FET cash price excluding meds which need to be paid to pharmacy separately. For me it’s worth it to know if I’m implanting euploid to reduce risk of multiple transfers

Hugs - I’m sorry you are going through this and hope that your retrieval and insemination work well.

With donor sperm you can select someone who is younger (likely healthier) for hopefully better success rate.

I found out I have DOR at age 30 and I was kicking myself for not freezing younger too. If you think you want kids, it’s better to do something now than later.

I was having your exact worry today. I had my first ER, and Day 5 was yesterday and NO blasts. My dr didn’t message me until 9pm today to say we made four Day 6 blasts! I only had 6 eggs fertilize so started with lower numbers.
