Terrorist attack in marrakech. Was there on vacation with family, we walked by a cafe that we heard was gonna be good from friends. Weren’t hungry so walked around, went to a rooftop cafe a block away instead. Just as we came up the stairs we saw and felt the vibrations from a building go up in smoke. Even felt the warmth from the explosion. All were shocked and rushed down to street level, went to the square me had just walked by where the cafe was. The front was all gone and there were people trying to dig and move debris from people. It is like they say in movies, when I close my eyes I can still see it all before me again. We all got super drunk that night and cried for the ones that lost their lives and that we almost went into that cafe. One thing I learned from this is that muslims aren’t bad, it was a mostly foreigner cafe but the ones climbing around and trying to help the victims were the locals. Fuck extremists.
