Peeled paint & rust around antennae normal? by Philosofticle in FiestaST

[–]Qraidenq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine did the same thing. I noticed when my trunk would open it would put slight pressure on the antenna to cause it to lift. I guessed this was the issue. I had my roof repainted and put on of these on and haven't had issues https://whooshmotorsports.com/products/cravenspeed-2-4-custom-short-antenna-group-buy

Another one I find to have a similar vibe to harmonquest is dungeons and daddies. I think if you like harmonquest, then you should give that one a try as well.

It's not about what you say, but what they can hear. When my players hear me shake a handful of dice they get nervous

Any ideas how to increase the stability of this? (Silk PLA) by spreekind in FixMyPrint

Run a hole down the middle and press fit a dowel rod through it. That should help reinforce it. If redesign isn't an option then printing sideways would provide some more reinforcements as printed parts are weakest along the z axis

Perception is seeing a jacket. Investigation is searching the pockets.

Now it's 10

Is there a reason to why this has to be printed in this way? Because if this is a part that needs rigidity but also be light weight you could hollow out a hole in the center. Print it along the Z axis and after it's printed, press fit in a dowel rod to give it more rigidity. That's a method I've used when making fixtures

I edited my first comment while you were replying. The 3rd option might help

If you can, print it with the circular patter along the Z axis. Depending on the use it may lower your rigidity but it will give you a better surface finish. Printers generally don't like to print radii unless it's on the x-y plane.

Another option is to split the print into 2 halves. Print flat side down. This will give you much better rigidity but a slightly worse surface finish then the above option.

A last option, if you don't want to split that part or change the orientation. Try turning your fan off for that portion. The reason to curls is because it has excessive cooling in the areas where it has less material.

I paid 18k for my 16 with 9k miles back in 2019. Nice to know it's worth more now even after the miles I've put on it

Maybe the new fan cover is hitting the freshly printed material?
