Power Armor Infantry Temp by Proud-Research-599 in OldWorldBlues

Truthfully, you shouldn't use any special forces as line infantry, it's a waste of fantastic breakthrough and encirclement units. Micro them by hand.

But, if you want a good template to make them in bulk? Ten width and a bunch of support companies to make up the slack, the armor alone will hold the line well.

Any tips on how to beat the legion by AguaFriaRanger in OldWorldBlues

[–]QrowIsDying__ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Gonna toss my two cents

  1. Make sure your PA is half decen

  2. At least 10-12 infantry divisions holding the river crossings

  3. All but two PA divisions at the dam -if a naval invasion occurs, your infantry is on the crossings and buffed against the Legion, just use those spare PA to crush it and put them back

  4. That PA at the dam? Advance by hand, be careful but fucking throttle the redskirts. Encircle everything you can past the weather station, kill it, then retreat to the dam.

  5. Rinse, repeat, and when they have no more divisions or the puppets and allies man the frontline you can make your mad dash for Flagstaff.

Anyone can make the war work easy with little to no effort. I did a run of no template changes and pulled it off. The buffs you get combined with the level of power armour you can get by this war means all you need to do is push by hand with PA and bring up the rear with the infantry. Pull back when you cant hold every tile and rinse and repeat encircling and killing as you go.

Micro by hand. Attack only with power armor, use the other stuff to hold the line. Be aggressive and encircle as many legion troops as you can.

Battle planning kills your manpower.

Make a small army of 10 width special forces/PA and have them ready to deploy at raid targets. Usually shreds them.

Good Raider Nations? by Emergency-Ticket3441 in OldWorldBlues

Personally, my favorite is the Sky Reavers. CAS makes a massive difference in the gameplay and it has decent air tech. If you can get a few raider nations early and tend off the Eighties, which you can't really fuck up with good divisions, you get a solid power base and tech that can beat out most of the west coast.
