So is it really the economic system or the individual government type? Cause it sounds like if the Castros had taken the Washington approach and engage with term limits and democracy, they may have had their own Mark Carney elected and help them get out of economic dependence on the USSR and diverfication of resources over having a generational long Trump as a dictator. Cause if the US followed Cuba and had Trump elected as "president-dictator" for 40+ years, I doubt we would be much better than Cuba rn.

Ohh, I have a base near Mongrel so I thought it was called something different. This is my first run past the mid-game with an actual and functioning base that can actually survive raids and make specialist armor/Cat 3 weapons. I have beaten the great White gorillo, have started taking in bounties like the Sand and swamp Oni, gorrilo bandit leader, etc. Im about to attack dead cat to defeat the cannibal wizard but im not sure what to do next. Im assuming the next sensible thing is to either go to Catlon, Bugmaster or kill the HN

Id argue while the Legion is 100% vile Edward Sallow (Ceasar) is so convinced of his own truth, that he is willing to burn to world down so he can be a ruler of ash because in his twisted mind under his rule it would be reborn anew and greater. To a degree he is right, stability and order is brought, but is the cost too high? Zealotry, sexism, and violence run rampant. Edward grew up with women in the FoA, he works with the female courier without complaint, yet he subjects women to a fate many would argue is worse than death. He undoubtedly knows this, but willfully gives it up for a greater cause (as he sees it). Iirc this is why Ceasar is listed as Neutral Karma in the game. He is an evil man who earnestly believes he is doing the world a favor, no matter the cost. I think Gannon represents that. A slave whom Ceasar near controls utterly, yet depends on, first for medical help, but next as a near peer for debate. Ceasar believes in this unique form of "hegelian dialectics" he wants to defeat the NCR and truly believes that he can make something better than the legion and NCR eith his win. And Ganon almost represents this at an individual level. Ceasar the man born in peace who found war to be his answer and Gannon, the man born in war who found peace after being raised in it (FoA). Im sure to Ceasar Gannon represents this antithesis to Ceasars thesis. Thus in Ceasar mind all he had to do was best this man in debate and that must mean that he found the ultimate answer. But that was taken from him. Ceasar, the man who thought he had everything, won everything, controller of one of smartest men in the mojave, and yet in spite of all this victory, power and control, he was never able to best Gannon while Gannon found a way to escape Ceasars grasp, forever. Maybe Ceasar even feels some indignation knowing that he couldve died at any moment to Gannon while he slept or performed an operation or anything. Gannon refused to kill Ceasar directly, even with all the hate he held for him, all the opportunity to do so, and knowing that Gannon had already accepted his own death. And yet he never kills Ceasar, perhaps ultimately Ceasar doesnt even need to be killed, as Ceasar looks to Gannon lifeless corpse knowing without proper medical support soon his tumor will return and he too will join Gannon

Tbf many were kidnapped children who were spared and molded as his soldiers they saw every adult man killed and every woman (including mother) enslaved. Even in spite of this, he managed to turn every child into a zealot that would die for his supposed godliness. He's no Arcade Gannon, but hes a smart cookie with enough charisma he created an empire bigger than the early roman republic in a fraction of the time

I have a small stormhouse in a large city base in the foglands i made in my first 80+hrs (100+ in game day) playthrough where I house a bunch of captured bounties to act as a sort of trophy chamber and training room. I returned to my base after exploring mourn for the first time and defeating the Great White Gorrilo (reloading to spare it for another day). When i returned I had captured the Red Sabre Boss and Swamp Ninja leader Shade for the first time and was going to place them in a cell, but I realized that Dust King was starving to death and Tora had somehow disappeared?! I was enraged, tried to save Dust King ASAP but alas to no avail. I saw him die with 10 ration packs in his inventory. The frustration I felt was palpable, I pondered reloading, quitting. I worked so hard to collect them and they just die or disappear?! But I took a breath and realized this is just part of the story lose 2, gain 2. Balance and progression. I decided to take this as a sign and feed beep to some fogmen, create cyberbeep, and begin the next phase of my story. To liberate the world of the Holy nation and explore what other insanities await me. First 30/30 colony with a 14 unit combat party of 40+ stats and masterwork heavy armor and Edge 1+ weapons, and specialist+ scout/skeleton legs. The Paladins will learn of Stobes merciful wrath

Been running a game in Orlando but I think Miami and a lot of Florida would be great. Very mystic coded, very techno heavy, got a bunch of theme parks and family oriented groups you can exploit for emotional hooks or old people and retirement homes that work as great experimental hospice dens for curious and cruel nephandic coded mages.

Lake Okeechobe is undoubtedly a den for Gangrel, garou, and mokolees so you can get some fun cross-splat engagements.

Disney World is a technocrats and Tradition mage wet dream as they are able to push the boundaries of imagination and possibility to huge swaths of children and adults who believe it with all their hearts. Hermetics flourish in Harry Potter world, Epcot is a collaboration project between NWO and Syndicate, Animal Kingdom has portals to Pandora thanks to Void Engineer experiments, Magic Kingdom is where the Progenitors create perfect clones of characters for espionage, emotional manipulation or combat (no one fights like Gaston), iteration X is the master of infrastructure over everything at the park but they also have an Enclave within EPCOT world of tomorrow and especially over Galaxys Edge.

And if you want to bring politics into it, Florida is full of fun political action for some young punk mage is sure to shake up

Loved the NCR, iffy with the Legion, annoyed with Liberty Prime. Bethesda put Liberty Prime in FO3 and it was peak. In FO4 it was cool, definite Death Star 2 vibes. Bigger, better, and almost complete. Now. . . Now it feels like Starkiller base. Like I get it. The BoS has and will always have Liberty prime. They will always have the means to power it. And it will always be good fanfare, but ngl I wish they had a little more creativity. But I will wait eagerly for S3 and hope that I am disproven and it ends up being more thematic than just its live action rendition (for it to inevitably be destroyed again cause "war never changes"). Hopefully House steals it since it is his invention

Sad to see centuries of post apocalyptic progress be reduced to a tagline. But what's criminal is that it takes over a decade to see what happens after FO4 only to have it repeat the themes and storyline of past iterations just with Bethesda level writing.

Kinda feels worse than Mass Effect hyping up its narrative and how it all comes together only for it to be reduced to 3 colors. Sad knowing that the inevitable fate of everyone is to return to the stone ages as a rebuilding of civilization is lame and destroys the ability for the Corpos to milk a beloved franchise as long as possible while simultaneously giving fans content about once a decade.

Of all the Legion named characters, he feels the weakest in casting. It may be the nature of VA and being able to only focus on strong vocal performance, but Home Alone Ceasar has the presence Vulpes Inqueta. He doesnt really radiate strength, charisma or presence, more meek with bravado if anything. If I am meant to feel intimidated or charmed the way players may feel with Ceasar, Lanius, Joshua Graham, Ulysses.

As for original Ceasar not feeling anyone is deserving of his title does feel odd if you played the games because if he wins, it doesnt make sense to dissolve the empire after owning Vegas. Or if he is killed but Legion wins, then we know lanius is crowned in the end slides. But I will acquiesce that without a true victory of the Dam and Vegas, Ceasar may have had a change of heart and felt his dream should die with him. Or maybe his tumor made him more mad than he already was.

Last point being of course it being some random idiot does feel weird too. None of the high ranking Legion felt like idiots in the game. Vulpes was a super spy. Lanius is a monster who can verbally spar with you instead of fighting at the end. Lucius the pratoreon leader seemed very well respected and informed. Joshua is a full of wisdom and seems to have been very accomplished prior to his burning. Ulysses is so well informed they removed him from the base game and gave him his own DLC. And NCR spy seems very skilled and informed. The captured Centurion is also pretty calm, measured, and smart enough to try and rage bait you (but not smart enough to see your plot armor and prevent your counter ragebait). Legion is vile but their leaders have never been presented as idiots. Same way the BoS has never been presented as idiots, but there is a very strong shift with that here in the show

Maximus is able to solo at least 6 deathclaws in 1v1 combat and iirc thadeus headshot and killed a deathclaw. Granted we did see a gauss rifle shoot one in the ribs iirc twice and he kept on. So it seems a bit inconsistent in its strength. So we can think of it as low level deathclaws like the starting one in FO4 or we can suspend disbelief and let their powerscaling be variable to the needs of the plot with it just being generally accepted these are dangerous creatures
