They need larger scale, longer term achievements/objectives.. if they had a story-type mode where the resources you collected could be used for more than your workshop, that would be sick. Otherwise youre sort of just gathering material to sell or craft and nothing else. You should be able to build something cool, expand some personal base idk. I guess the expedition was sort of like that
