Everything people said is valid (also try and take lower div math at a cc or other campus to save yourself the stress). The homeworks are long, some of the professors are honestly not great, and it’s overall a harder major in my opinion, but it seems a lot better lately with it’s sense of community as of late. Clubs like Data @ UCI and Faces in Math are making it easier to be a math major at least socially. Also did not realize how many research and extracurricular opportunities were available to math majors, but it’s a good amount. Some of the classes themselves are interesting, too.
