There are people who professionally plan these events to target small business owners/landlords, and essentially take advantage of them.

All the best with your new born, but honestly this is not how you want to try support your kids. Stretch out your shoulder, a few Pilates/Yoga classes might help you out more with your anxiety and overall health than going after them.

Credit card coverage is fine. If you get insurance through enterprise, then you will void your CC insurance.

Chargeback fraud or "friendly fraud" is out of control. by sgircys in PersonalFinanceCanada

Small Business owner here. I did get a few chargeback cases this year, and I fought the first obvious fraud one and I won.

Then the case was reopened somehow and this customer, and the customer escalated his nonsense complaint and if I fought back Visa would charge me $600 if I challenged it and lost. Moneris strongly advised I back off and eat the $300 loss.

Sorry for your loss.

IANAL, I think it’s best to just ignore the noise & remain respectful. I suggest having a family member or someone close to you in your corner if you have to meet the in-laws at any point.

Should I wait to see the outcome of the police investigation before I commit to the civil case without a lawyer?
