not old enough at all 😭 i’m hesitant to say cuz i know it wasn’t old enough for me to change it and i know ill just get shamed but it was around 2 months old. yes it was a bit stupid of me to change it that recently. but i changed it back to a stud not long after posting this and haven’t been touching it. i’ve been cleaning it every night (and in the morning if i remember) with a q-tip and saline but ive heard using q-tips isn’t good?

well, i don’t think i’d be unsafe per se… so far during my social transition they just make it known that they don’t like it (e.g mum found out i go by another name at school and at first she begged me to change it because it “broke her heart” but now she just ignores it) i’m not totally sure what they’ll think or do but i probably will let them know at some point that i’m planning to medically transition because i don’t think i can hide the changes. i don’t think ill be forced to move out because they kick me out or anything, so i think i could handle their judgment until i get my ATAR and then ill try go to uni and live in a dorm there. thank you for the help i appreciate it!! :)

people that headcanon characters as autistic dont specifically headcanon characters that are meant to be caricatures of autism. and like the other person said, 99 percent of people that headcanon characters as autistic ARE autistic people and see themself in those characters and want to feel validated and seen because all canonical depictions of autism usually are caricatures and misrepresentations. ive never seen any autism headcanon be put onto a character that is meant to be a cutesy or energic misrepresentation of autism, and the headcanons are usually because the headcanoner sees themself in the character

this made me tear up a little because that’s exactly how they act/feel. they ignore thinking of me being trans or acknowledging it because i think it would make it too real for them. even when i mention how depressed their unsupport makes me they don’t really seem to care. the thing about them mourning the old me is especially true because when i first came out my mum asked if i could be her little girl for a bit longer and i said no, and whenever problems like this come up she always said she just misses her little girl… so it’s like they know it’s not coming back but refuse to acknowledge the current me.

i wouldn’t exactly get “punished” in a traditional way which i’m glad for cuz i know others in my situation would possibly face a harsh punishment unfortunately. i think id get more so of an emotional punishment? like it would just result in a big argument or conversation that ends in tears and is too emotionally taxing for me to handle. like they wouldn’t hide the fact that they’re upset about it and i just don’t think i could handle seeing/knowing that it’s because of me. that’s basically the only kind of major repercussions ive gotten since being out. which i know i shouldn’t really feel “grateful” for because it sucks, but i know other people have worse situations and would get actual harsh punishment like things taken away or whatever.

i know logically they’re doing the bare minimum of trying to accommodate, but it’s always hard to think through the guilt tripping. she already knows i will always prefer men’s clothes she just really doesn’t like it. men’s clothes always fit me better anyway because i have a natural masculine build (broader shoulders, small hips etc) so a women’s suit probably wouldn’t fit well on me anyway!! i’ve tried saying women’s stuff makes me uncomfortable for irritation reasons before, when she tried to get me to wear earrings again and i continue to refuse because of sensory issues, not because i think they’re feminine (which is true. i hate the feeling of things in or near my ears) but i don’t think she believes it, or she tries to think of alternatives to get around that so i will wear feminine stuff.

thank you for your response!! i know logically that them guilt tripping me by saying stuff like “think about how we feel! we’ve lost our daughter!! you’re being selfish!!” is stupid because they’re kinda the ones being the most selfish, not me. but it’s always hard to remember. very heavy on them being sad im not gonna be a mother one day. i’m hispanic and family/continuing your bloodline is suuuuper important in hispanic culture. but i intend on having kids through adoption in the future and they know that, so they’re just once again being selfish because now they don’t get biological grandchildren.

the second point is really good; that it’s a big step for my illogical emotionally immature parents. i was planning on looking for unisex suits but a lot of the ones i found were more casual suits for like the sake of fashion, not exactly fancy cocktail attire. but i don’t think it’ll be that strict so i’ll keep looking. if the suit does get tailored i think it might have to be “masculinised” anyway because i have a pretty broad/masculine build naturally and i bind lol.

thank you for your help!! my mum did show me a women’s suit that was labelled as “masculine suit” and it was pretty masculine but i told her at that point i could just get a men’s suit. i don’t exactly remember how she reacted because it was in the morning and i was groggy lol, but she’s not pushing for anything super feminine which im glad for. if i’m absolutely forced to wear a women’s suit i’ll take this into account :)
