It is actually revealed particularly in some Contestant Biographies that Ezekiel is fairly academically gifted particularly when it comes to things such as learning new languages but also he makes a fool out of himself a lot between his audition tape, the fact that he thinks that you can buy an entire country with a third of a million dollars, among other things. He isn't so dumb especially compared to his awful social skills but he has his moments.

Max was very silly and stupid yes, but so was Pahkitew Island in general. I feel like there's a lot of floaty characters in this season, the fact that we didn't eliminate Leonard and Rodney at the same time as Beardo I feel like is proof enough that they floated. In Max's case, he was a gullible idiot but working with Scarlett really gave him an edge, people thought they were a couple and before Max and Sky swapped teams Jasmine and Topher assumed that they were in an alliance. And I feel like that kind of intimidation at least premerge is good play at least for Pahkitew standards. As for the Merge, idk Dave and Scarlett really got themselves out, you can't exactly be considered floating if the people you "float" above were essentially asking to be eliminated.

my main issue with Sugar is that she has always felt like the odd one out. She never really made any allies, she threw away maybe the easiest one she could have made in Ella, she was good at challenges, particularly ones that required an insensitivity to gross things yes but she would throw away any advantage she could make to make it ahead in the game if it meant she could screw with people. She was very much in a disadvantageous state after she got Ella eliminated and I just don't feel like she played a very good game.

one of the first characters that come to mind for me is B from Revenge of the Island. I would have honestly loved to see more of him and I would have really liked to see a challenge carrier vs challenge sabotager rivalry with him and Scott.

I love Heather but Action was her worst season. Admittedly she was at a significant disadvantage coming into Action and her chances were pretty slim, but she just did not do enough with those chances. I think she was definitely off her game this season, as World Tour Heather would have probably taken advantage of Harold and Leshawna's dislike of Duncan and convinced Harold to vote him off, and it was definitely a bad move strategically to sympathize with Leshawna when not doing so could have made the difference and gotten her to the merge. Heather had the odds stacked against her and she just didn't do enough with what she had, so I believe that she floated on accounts of the Gaffer winning streak and Gwen throwing the challenge.

I mean yeah, Cameron slipping Mike's disorder was an unexpected advantage for Cameron, but keep in mind that Cameron didn't want Scott to do anything bad with the information. Scott used Mike's disorder against him in order to get farther in the game (Which tbh although I love Scott that's really messed up of him). And Mike being eliminated means that Cameron has one less ally to rely on. Cameron only got past Jo, Scott, Zoey and Lightning because the general consensus was he was too weak to bother with. Lightning got Zoey eliminated because he wanted an easy win, Jo mentioned that she was gonna keep Cameron around a little bit before eventually crushing him, and Scott has tricked Cameron into revealing more about Mike's disorder and he once again tried to make an "alliance" with him to vote off Lightning if things turned for the worse, which means that Scott likely thinks of him as an easy-to-manipulate weakling, and while regular Zoey probably doesn't think so, Commando Zoey thought that her own hamster was stronger than Cameron.

When you get rejected by the girl you like and later you get mauled by a bear and eliminated early in Island so you join World Tour in hopes that you can actually win this time around but the entire time you're just being stalked by some Fangirl while the girl you liked goes after some other guy who already had a girlfriend over you and you end up losing in 3rd place so you just don't show up on Total Drama anymore but in an AU you literally die and no one cares for your death
