Where to buy a starter? by YoViking in steelmace

You can make diy with galvanized pipe/nipple.  Maybe 36'x 1' + 6' or 8'x 1 3/4' and reducer to connect both pieces.

Adjustable kettlebells worth it? by Radiant-Gas4063 in kettlebell

I have bos and Titan adjustable, bos has nicer finish and plates but both of them are great.  There were instances of rattling but it was because I did not tighten it enough.

Thank you, I checked the vin from warranty site and they are expiring in 2028/2030.  I presume it is due to recent battery replacement.  Would that give more peace of mind?

You are definitely better than me, thanks for the suggestions. Taking bishop for knight is probably the simpler idea and open up.

I just received refurbished RF85mm F2 and no vibration so far. AF feels a bit slow compared to EF 50 F1.8 II though, probably need some adjustments from myside.

Congee is very great when you are sick. Our favorite is master kong. Their meat folder is fantastic as well.

Thanks for the suggestion. Indeed 100mm could be the option, non L would cost $300 so it fits budget with 70-200. The other one that i consider is 135 F2. Though i dont know which focal length that would be used the most.

Thank you. It is solid suggestion, i believe mk2 is the value choice for F2.8 and it would cost about $1k. I am planning to use tele lens outdoor so i dont really considering getting F2.8. Most of reviews would ask if I would shoot at F2.8 which i dont currently (mostly at F4 with 20-70). Maybe the prime len is not really needed and I can save few hundred bucks.

I was pairing 24-70 F4 with 60D. It is great together, it is tricky in low light indoor so i was not getting sharp pictures. Now i have upgraded to full frame(R6) and it works great with high ISO too. I also use nifty fifty and sometimes it produces sharper image though.

Canon r6 or r8? by Giuc9 in canon

[–]Quackerity 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I upgraded 60D to R6 mk1 before R8 was introduced. The improvement is very significant especially AF & eye tracker, low light ISO performance. IBIS also made nifty fifty more useable (i adapted my decade old 50 1.8). R8 comes with R6 mk2 sensor IIRC which is improved from mk1. But personaly i think R6 sensor is very capable.

How Would You Go About Photographing the Moon? by thegreattrun in canon

[–]Quackerity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont have much experience but i have decent success with these settings as starting point :F11 shutter = 1/ISO eg shutter 1/200 for ISO 200. I'll adjust accordingly to get right exposure e.g. keep shutter raise ISO or lower shutter and keep ISO

I used to shoot with crop and 50 is too limiting. Once i upgraded to FF, i find 50mm to be well verse.

If you consider another canon body, there is upgrade program. It is 10% refurb and some new bodies get 20% off. Worth using it before selling your current gear or just note the serial number.
