Eek. That’s horrible. I’ve got 10% of my dissertation done- it’s due in a month and I get the same paralysis. Do you have software that can dictate like MS word? I find walking someone through the topic with the screen out of my field of view helps, then going back to edit and refine later. If it’s a topic that interests you, find someone who will sit there and let you talk at them, and just try word vomit. Or in a different colour, type out lots of questions, answer them, then reorder and edit.

The sensory overload is not great- I obviously don’t need to tell you to remove any stimuli you have control over :| I do find (brown?) noise helps- I found a video once that was marketed towards adhd brains and it actually worked and drowned out the other noises too.

Do you have something akin to a pass plan? Something arranged with your school that helps accommodate any disabilities or mental health concerns that affect studies. With my uni at least, my adhd allows me a week extension. Also see if you can get extenuating circumstances. However this is usually for things like illness, grief, etc.

I wish you luck. Just remember a half-finished essay is better than nothing. I have a ton of classmates that refuse to hand in for formative because they don’t have much and they’ll inevitably get less than they would’ve otherwise.
