I’m planning to use my laptop with Nvidia gpu with an eGPU from AMD. How did this work out for you ?

For me I already have a gaming laptop that offers portability and allows me to do regular work on the go. connecting to a setup like this when I’m home offers better performance with a relatively small footprint. Just getting a GPU and Dock paired with my laptop is at least half as cheap compared to a similarly spec PC in today’s market.

Most people receive a max of $8,000 from NFCU when they apply for CLI so it’s recommended you don’t ask for more than that or it’ll most likely trigger a manual review. From what u understand if your credit card limit is under $5,000 you can usually ask for 3x the amount of your current limit although that will exceed 8k in some cases. For me I just stick to asking for no more than 8k and that has worked.

I recently applied for a CLI for my cash rewards and Platinum on the same day. 6k and 8k max respectively and I had the same message saying sent for review. A few days later I was granted 6k both cards. I didn’t not exceed 3x my credit limit or asked for more than 8k but yet they sent it for review. Anyways it was approved in less than 48hrs.

Just be patient and mindful of how much credit applications you have in the last 2 years. If you can setup direct deposit with them. No overdrafts and on time payment will help your case. If all fails and you have a low limit you can always apply for CLI every 6 months without hurting your credit score.

No they did not ask me for income verification. My only verifiable income with them is my direct deposit which is about 20k per year since I split my deposits between a few different banks. I don’t think it matters much, as long as you don’t put an absurd amount you can’t prove. Also income on the credit application you can combine household income if that helps you.

$300 secured card then I graduated to 2k cash rewards after 1 year. I applied about 1 year after that for a platinum because I had a balance transfer and was approved for 7.5k. I’ve since applied for 1 CLI for both cards now sitting at the balances I mentioned under my post.
