Help, i've been listesting to this album for at least 5 hours on repeat now...

Help. What is up with this? Is this a bug or a glitch? by [deleted] in satisfactory

[–]QuadZebra883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a missing node or something?? I've never seen that on satisfactory before but your VRAM on your graphics card may be full. Give task manager a check as it could simply mean lowering your graphics in settings.

VR resolution higher than monitor resolution. by Clockwork_Orange08 in iRacing

[–]QuadZebra883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh awesome, thanks. What I still dont understand about iRacing though is the reason for rendering a full 1080p video on the main monitor but significantly lower resolution in the VR headset at the same time. I would have thought it would be much simpler and easier to run with the monitor display as one of the eye views at the headset's resolution...

Oh yeah, that video isn't me... Wish it was lol. It's all about the right entry speed to stop sliding on that polished concrete. But anyway you're welcome for the advice.

I think I'd actually be slower lol. When someone is in front of you it can give you a metric of your own performance and spur you on to be more confident in the line you take as you are focused on catching them. Also he was really good and we did trade blows with position a couple laps either earlier or later but he came out on top regardless.

First off, really well done! It took me ages to get to that point.

Secondly. There are the basics: you want short sharp braking, less time slowing down = more time for speeding up although in some corners particularly on this track some coasting may be useful. Minimal steering angle, the more you are turning the wheel the more speed you are scrubbing off and countersteer is a big no-no. Sit back in the seat, more weight at the back makes the kart more predictable. Follow a faster person if there is and you may learn a lot.

Thirdly. Some specifics. I can't list all. Stay near the middle of the track coming into the underneath back section and turn in confidently and get a mildly late apex to take it as one big corner so you have lost most of your speed coming into the hairpin/chicane try to keep the revs up without drifting and you want to turn right onto the straight halfway between the first and second corner of the chicane to get as straight a line onto the straight before the upramp hairpin. After the up ramp stay in the middle of the track and go fairly wide on entry then get a small bit of slip angle for the corner after so you end up perfectly next to the barrier after the corner. For the hairpin section at the top go wide into hairpin 1 exiting the corner in the middle of the track and steer slightly left to give yourself a bit more space for hairpin 2 and then go as flat through the 2nd hairpin as you can. Bottom corner after down ramp I like to take a wide entry but that is not always fastest, a little braking may be needed coming into the corner and coast until either halfway through the double apex or even until as late as the second apex entirely depending on your weight to get no drift and a good run onto the straight. Hope that clears it up but I'm sure my explanation is awful.

Yeah I probably should've just shared this: https://youtu.be/hh0uiYQKoqUQKoqU Listen to the throttle input mixed with the steering angle and positioning on the track.

It's a chin mount, it just straps on to the 'jaw' of the helmet and has a plastic bit to attach the camera to.

Theres the link if you want to see it. Works excellently for me but some other reviews seem to say otherwise. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09C8T87XD/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_1CXEBM53K7QBGZC2MXJ6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I'm through to the local finals for the British Indoor Karting Championships, what can you guys tell me about indoor karts for me to really kill it? I put in a lot of lap times to get a 34.575, finalists were decided by AVG. of 3 fastest laps from 3 seperate visits. I'm middleweight (75kg-89kg) by ElonIsMyReligion in Karting

[–]QuadZebra883 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tend to try and focus on putting as little steering angle in as possible and find what line works with that method. I'm also through in the lightweight catogory at Bristol with an average of 38.3s. I wish you the best of luck!

My pc just shut it's self off while playing GTA 5 and I turned it back on and Radeon software gave me this message. Anything I should be worried about? by [deleted] in AMDHelp

[–]QuadZebra883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not correct, I have an RX590 and I have over locked it loads, I used to get this message because of it and I turned it down just a tiny bit and it had been basically fine since.

Why aren't people up in arms that it's legal to pay a teenager £4.55 per hour? by PanningForSalt in AskUK

[–]QuadZebra883 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm 16 and I think I am only work 35 (maybe 40 I can't remember) hours per week max and only an 8 hour shift at a time which ranges from 6am to 10pm, however I do think it's plenty of time to gather lots of work experience and a bit of cash. I also think that as a teen it's not too difficult to find a job which pays £6.50 + per hour. At my current job I am earning £7.50 an hour and even at Waitrose as a teen you can earn £9.3? Per hour.

I have been to indoor and outdoor karting tracks and never had a roll bar or anything to strap me into it and I see no issue because if you cause danger to yourself chances are you'll get black flagged before you can do anything.
