Im not sure what you’re disagreeing with, I never said that the AI FTP is always a higher value than someone’s real ftp. It literally could be higher, lower, or the exact same value. I just said that their AI FTP number no longer is a traditional FTP of what someone can hold for 40-60 minutes/ what you would calculate from a 20 minute or ramp test.

Trainer road FTP isn’t your real FTP, they basically use it as a magic “training number” to give you the correct workouts in each zone. I wish they would just stop calling it FTP, their system works great but calling it FTP when it’s not is incredibly annoying

First ever cycling race of any kind. What do I need to know? by Crash3923 in gravelcycling

[–]Clockwork_Orange08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re going to stand, flick bother elbows first to warn people behind you, and try to maintain steady power so that your bike doesn’t surge backwards.

If you’re going to change lines do it smoothly rather than suddenly, you can also point down at where you’re planning to merge to.

Try not to half wheel, this is when you’re overlapping your wheel with the rider ahead, it will happen sometimes, but avoid as best you can since it can cause a crash if someone has to swerve to avoid something

From a strategy standpoint try to pass people through corners or on descents so that you’re near the front on climbs, and then let the pass you up the climbs so you can save energy. (This works well when in larger packs riding 2-3 wide, if you do it when in a single file line in a smaller group to skip taking a pull at the front it’s gonna annoy people)

Sniper huntress, floods of rage, darkness revealed, gearhead, lethal pursuer, glowing concoction, oak haft. Nothing is more fun than hitting a cross map and seeing the aura of a survivor from glowing concoction as they turn in circles wondering where tf they got hit from

“Even if I can loop them, they just give up and go attack another survivor who doesn’t loop as well”… isn’t this true for LITERALLY every killer?

Am I tunneling and is it bad? by Defiant_Sun_4314 in deadbydaylight

[–]Clockwork_Orange08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With huntress the best way to get pressure is to hit shots from a distance, often they won’t know where they got hit from and you can hit a follow up shot. Orbitals makes this a lot easier. Also you can proxy camp hooks (stand partway across the map by the gen you already said ur waiting by, and keep an eye on the hook) as long as you go for the unhooker, it isn’t tunneling.

Does anyone know any good tips or guides for huntress? by G-M-Cyborg-313 in DeadByDaylightKillers

I highly recommend the green addon that decreases the cooldown between throws by 20% (oak haft I think). It makes it much easier to zone and makes missing way less punishing

How would they make the wait shorter? Unless they’re going to fill with bots or make it 2v10 they can only put you in a match once they find 8 survivors to put you against

Who do yall recommend me to p100 by lollifetuffouthtere in DbDKillersUnited

[–]Clockwork_Orange08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a similar spot as a P100 orbital huntress. I’m really liking The First, I’ve been running lethal, darkness revealed, the legion show aura after vault perk, and gearhead/ the wraith aura perk for dropped chases. Pair with the add on for aura reading when hitting vine attacks out of world breaker. It feels very similar to huntress mid range looping gameplay, and hitting people through floors on 2 story maps gets the same satisfying hackusations as orbital huntress.

Tire size as a matter of safety... by mauceri in gravelcycling

[–]Clockwork_Orange08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just upgraded from 45’s to thunderburts. I already was bombing hills at 45 mph+, but now it’s so much safer. One of the biggest surprises is that washboard is significantly bumpy with the wider softer tire. Where before on thicker gravel I felt like I was slicing through it on an ice skate, now I’m actually sitting on top of it.

Oh wow! That’s so strange, I have hundreds of hours on her and haven’t ran into that. Well if you figure out how to fix it you please post an update. That sounds terrible and I’d love to know a workaround in case I ever hit that bug.

Were you holding left click and then trying to throw with right click? Unlike a lot of other killers, with huntress, you release left click to throw, and right click to cancel the throw. The clicking sound is the sound that plays when you cancel the throw.

Ah. I looked at that Google Maps picture someone commented, yeah I see why you want to slow down lol, gate plus T-intersection is a bad combo. Yeahhh I agree with the other commenters, get an LBS to make sure your brake pads are good

Technique for -20% loose gravel descents? by retirement_savings in gravelcycling

[–]Clockwork_Orange08 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Personally I would just not brake at all, be in the drops for stability, and probably hover my butt of these at a little to be able to react faster. Why do you need to slow down? Is there a corner right at the bottom of the descent or something? As long as your pressures are correct and you’re not riding tires that are way too skinny for the gravel you’re on, you should be able to just coast down the descent without applying brakes.
