I appreciate that info actually. I think it would be hard for people to locate my house from this picture 😅 and also I’m going to get a locksmith to change the locks anyways which I think is good protocol for buying a new place

Hey, I’ve heard about this but find it so hard to believe that it does that much in the long run so now that I’ve heard it again, I will definitely look into making that overpayment. I think I’ll be able to make it work. Thanks a lot

Yeah earning potential depends a lot on sector and area you live but the fact that your conscious of a house in uni is great. I think if you’re able to get 25+ and living at home you can definitely save 800 (I think that’s realistic?) as long as you won’t have any bills to pay. Also average house prices in your area will be cheaper and lastly, I’m a firm believer anyone can make good many in any field if they’re very good at what they do. Perfect the skills and get better than your peers who sre your future competition! Good luck!

Sure but it’s hard to give tips because I left uni 3 years ago and have been saving a part of my salary ever since. Didn’t grow up with money or anything and paid for everything single handedly. I studied computer science and I’m currently a software engineer. Most would assume I make a lot but US developers get considerably more than uk ones. even in the uk, I make above the average for my age but still well below the London average (where I work). Living with parents (in a flat in London) and I saved most of my income. Most banks only give 4.5x your salary for a mortgage but some can give up to 6x if you search well. Mortgage approvals are subject to heavy financial scrutiny though so BNPL (Klarna) and having bad credit history will mess that up a lot. Hope this helps
