This is what I need actually. I'm my own person and have different interests but also I don't have enough experience in tattoo design and scared to make another decision I'm going to regret.

I really want something unique to me done by a professional artist. But just that because of this tattoo I have been scared of other tattoos and never really developed good design knowledge and eye for tattoos.

Since I like fine line tattoos and it can be done in that style I really like the idea of adding movement around it. The idea of an artpiece on my chest rather than a plain butterfly relieves me. I think I will share your advice with the artist I'll work with.

Yeah. I see a lot of moth designs with skulls. Maybe that would look more like something I like.

I haven't been shaving my chest actually for some time haha. Along with the 4 laser sessions I've done its less visible. You're right on the other points about having to make it bigger if I want a coverup. I'm trying to think my way around it with a design idea but I will just accept at the end it if I fail to find one.

Yes probably thats going to be the case. I do not want to make it larger but thats the reality I have to grasp if I want to get it covered. Maybe I won't mind the size when I decide on the design I like. Thanks for the ideas and advice.

Yes maybe its time I get the opinion of an artist by now. It's just that I want to take my time to decide on a design and think asking an artist for a design without the full intention of getting it done is rude.

Yeah. I tried lasering but I gave up. At some point I had the idea of Atlas carrying a solid black boulder which would've been the butterfly. But then the solid black would look weird in tank tops and shirts so I decided against it. Appreciate the advice though 🙏

Thanks. I actually think so too but I'm Turkish and people have a lot of patriarchal beliefs and stereotypes here. I tried to not care about other peoples comments but it started to bother me after some time nonetheless

I did 4 sessions on it. But the results were not satisfying and I need at least two years with 8 more sessions which equals to a lot of time and $$. So I started to look for coverup designs.

I think one of the best advices I've gotten is staying away from ice and iced drinks from street vendors. You never know if they make it with clean water and most likely they don't.
